UCEED Preparation 2027 - IIT Bombay has announced dates for B.Des Entrance Exam through UCEED Entrance test. Candidates who wish to appear and get a seat at IITs must start their preparation. UCEED Exam is conducted offline at the centres.UCEED question paper will include two parts: Part A and Part B.

UCEED 2027 Exam Prep Overview
UCEED Exam has two parts. Part A will be objective-type and include 57 questions. Part B will include 2 questions - one sketching-based question and one aptitude-based question.

Candidates need to keep the following pointers in mind when formulating a UCEED 2027 preparation plan.
1. Follow the UCEED Exam Pattern: Before preparation, know the exam pattern of UCEED. This will help you to focus on those sections which are more important.
2. Knowledge of the UCEED Marking Scheme: Candidates can go through the new marking scheme for UCEED in the table below.

3. Know the UCEED Syllabus: Candidates need to be acquainted with the topics to study for the different sections of UCEED 2027. Aspirants can go through the detailed UCEED syllabus to crack this design entrance exam. IIT Bombay can revise the syllabus for the UCEED 2027 exam. Part B of the exam will now have two questions from two sections: Drawing and Design Aptitude.
4. Go through the previous years’ UCEED question papers: Like any entrance exam, while preparing for the exam, aspirants are advised to go through past years’ UCEED question papers.
5. Mock Test: Practice a mock test once a week. Check your errors and solve them. Solve 2 per week when last month is left. Solve at least 40 mock tests in six months of preparation. This would prove beneficial in helping students understand the type of questions asked in the UCEED exam as well as provide them with an insight into how to formulate their time management strategy.
6. Reading: Practice weekly reading comprehension passage in Part A. Practice 15-20 new words ( vocabulary) in a week and solve a reading comprehension passage daily.
7. Practice Drawing: Practice design sketching daily. Increase the speed of sketching. Draw human figures, body shapes, expressions, magazine stripes, etc.

IIT Bombay releases the question paper and answer keys for UCEED within a few days of the conduct of the entrance exam. UCEED Mock Test 2027
IIT Bombay launched UCEED Sample Exam Interface to give an option to candidates to practice for the exam. The aim was to provide a feel of an examination interface. It was available at digialm.com/OnlineAssessment.
Mock tests for UCEED 2027 are meant to be taken in the last few weeks or days leading up to the entrance exam. The purpose of the mock tests is to help the candidate get an exam-like ambiance to practice in and thus get acquainted with the exam process.
How to practice for UCEED Exam Mock Test using sample Interface?

- The interface is designed to run on a desktop browser. It may not work on tablets or other mobile devices.
- The login details are already filled in. To begin, click on the Sign In button and follow the instructions.
- On the sample interface, the candidate can check how to answer a question, how to go to the next question, how to mark a question for reviewing later, etc.
- To see Part-B of the sample/practice exam, the candidate must wait for 30 minutes.
- UCEED 2027 exam is expected to have two parts: 1) Part A, which will be 1 hour long, include objective-type questions, and will be conducted in computer-based mode; 2) Part B will be conducted offline and include a single sketching-based question.
- Mock test will be conducted entirely online.
- UCEED 2027 mock tests will contain the same types of questions as those asked in the actual exam.
- Mock test may contain fewer questions than those asked in the actual exam; for instance, Part A of UCEED 2027 will have around 57 questions, but the mock test may have 40 questions.

Three months is not a lot of time to prepare for an exam of the magnitude of UCEED. But the silver lining is that it could be done, provided your fundamentals are strong.
Here is how you prepare for UCEED in three months.
- Follow UCEED syllabus and exam pattern.
- Make a timetable.
- To start with, focus on topics that are easy but carry decent weightage.
- Once you are done with the easy topics, move on to the moderately difficult and difficult topics.
- Solve sample papers and practice mock tests.
No, you do not log in ID to download the UCEED Question Paper. It is uploaded online at the UCEED-IIT Bombay admission portal UCEED. Iitb. AC. In.
UCEED question paper will have two parts. Part A will be online and Part B will be offline. Part A will include Numerical Answer Type, Multiple Select Question and Multiple Choice Question. Part B will have sketching and drawing questions.
Candidate needs to remember following points about Part B question paper of UCEED.
- Part B will include TWO questions. Question for section will be shown on the computer monitor.
- Candidate, after reading the question, has to write/ draw the answer option in the answer booklet provided by the invigilator.
- Part B test will evaluate the drawing ability and Design Aptitude of the candidate.
- Part B is mandatory and will only be evaluated if the candidate qualifies for Part A.
- The cut-off marks for Part A will be declared by IIT Bombay before the declaration of results.
The last few days are very crucial in the context of UCEED exam preparation. It is because if you mess up these last few days, all your efforts in the last few months and years could go down the drain. Here are a few tips to follow.
- Focus these last few days on revision
- Solve sample papers.
- Try to solve at least one sample paper a day.
- Take mock tests.
- Do a quick revision of important topics.
- After taking the mock or solving the sample papers
Candidates can use the previous year's papers to practice for the exam. The more sample papers you solve, the better you will get. The question papers are available on the official website under the download section.
Part A has 57 questions and Part B will have two questions.
The official mock tests are meant to be taken in the last few weeks before the UCEED exam. So, you shouldn't typically take mock tests at the start or even the middle of your UCEED exam preparation. The logic is that mock tests are not designed to help you improve your problem-solving ability or your time-management skills. In fact, mock tests are meant to help you get an exam-like ambience before the exam and understand what it is like to be inside the exam centre.
If you have biology as a subject in 10+2, then you can apply for B.Des programme at IIITDM Jabalpur, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Hyderabad and IIT Indore.
To apply at IIITDM, you need to have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology subjects in 10+2.
IIT Bombay released the admission notification for UCEED 2027 on October 1, 2026. Candidates can check out the notification online at the UCEED admission portal.
