NIFT Application Form Correction 2026 - NTA will open the application correction window soon. Using the correction facility, the candidate can edit all the particulars in the application form except for their registered email and mobile number. The application correction window will open in the second week of January 2026.

NIFT 2026 Application forms and Notifications can be out anytime now for B.Des, M.Des, B.F. Tech, M.F.Tech, and M.F.M programmes. The application form will be released at @nift.ac.in. The NIFT entrance exam application form is the same for all courses. The application fee for NIFT will be around INR 3,000 (INR 1500 for SC, ST, and PwD categories). NIFT 2026 entrance exam will be conducted in the second week of February 2026.
The NTA has released the admission schedule for the NIFT 2026 entrance exam, including the application dates. The last date to fill application will be in the first week of January 2026.
Candidates applying a late fee will have to pay an additional INR 5,000.
As per the current system, there is no scope to pay the NIFT application fee using demand draft.
The candidate has to pay the NIFT application fee online using online payment gateway, including credit card, debit card, or net banking.
Note that unless the application fee has been paid successfully, the NIFT 2026 application form filling process will not be considered complete. The NIFT application fee for general category is INR 3,000. Meanwhile, SC, ST, and PwD candidates only need to pay INR 1,500. It is recommended that candidates pay the fee specific to their category, or else the candidate may not be considered for admission.

What is NIFT Application Correction Window?
NIFT gives the opportunity to edit the NIFT application form if there was any mistake at the time of filling the application form. It opens after the Application window is closed. Candidates can edit certain information like Name, Father's Name, Mother's Name, etc. This window is known as NIFT Application Correction Window. Using the NIFT 2026 application correction window, the candidate can also upload fresh documents. However, if the candidate changes their admission category, any additional fee, if applicable, has to be paid.

The candidate can’t edit the following information in the application form.

- Mobile number
Can I edit admission category in NIFT 2026 Application form?
Yes, the candidate can also modify their admission category. To make the changes, the candidate simply needs to edit the category option. Also, the candidate must pay the additional fee (wherever applicable) using a credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI available on the application portal.
It is recommended that the candidate select the correct category because all details will be verified at the time of NIFT 2026 counselling. If any anomaly is found, the candidate may be disqualified from the admission process.
The NTA will not edit/ modify/ alter any information entered by the candidate under any circumstances. It will also not entertain requests for change in information. So, you must exercise utmost caution when filling up the form.
Request for corrections made by any candidates through Post/Fax/ WhatsApp/ Email/ by hand will not be entertained by NTA.
How to make corrections in NIFT Application Form 2026?
Candidates must follow the steps listed below to edit the NIFT 2026 application form.
- Go to the NIFT 2026 admission portal
- If the Correction Window is open, the link will be activated
- Click on the NIFT 2026 application form Correction tab
- You will be redirected to a log-in window
- Enter your registered application number, email ID, and DOB to log in
- On log-in, you will be able to make the necessary changes
- Submit the application form after making the corrections
