NIFTEE is one of the top-most entrance exam conduced by the National Testing Agency for UG and PG programmes. The entrance exam is conducted annually for admission to 20 NIFT Institutes. Read on to find all about NIFT 2027.
NIFTEE Exam is conducted every year in the month of February for candidates who wish to pursue their career in the Design stream. NIFT offers UG programmes like B.Des and B.F.Tech and PG programmes like M.Des, M.F.tech and M.F.M. It also offers PhD programme. The admission to NIFT Institutes is done through NIFT Entrance Test. The exam is conducted offline in a computer-based mode. NIFT Entrance exam has two stages: NIFT Stage 1: it includes NIFT GAT and NIFT CAT and NIFT Stage 2 includes Situation Test for B.Des, Studio Test and Personal Interview for B.Des (NLEA), Artisan Skill Test and Personal Interview for B.Des (Artisan), Technical Ability Test (TAT) and Personal Interview for B.F.Tech. NIFT 2027 Application Form
NTA will open application form for NIFT 2027 for UG and PG in the first or second week of December 2026. The link will be uploaded on the official website of NTA NIFT.
How to fill out NIFT 2027 Registration Form
- Click on the registration link given of NTA NIFT
- Create a login ID by entering details such as name, date of birth, category, and email ID
- Fill out the NIFT application form
- Upload a scanned photo and signature in JPG/JPEG format in less than 50 KB
- Pay the NIFT application fee of INR 2,000 (Rs 500 for SC/ST/PH category) online
- Take a printout of the application form.
You also need to select the NIFT exam city when filling out the application form for NIFT 2027. With regular fees, the application is open from November to January, 2027. However, with late fees, applications are accepted till third week of January 2027.
The window to edit the NIFT application form is also available from the third week of January to edit the application.

NIFT 2027 Admit Card
The NTA releases the admit cards of NIFT for the written exam in February. The NIFT Entrance Exam Admit Card is issued to all candidates who successfully completed the registration process and paid the exam fee. It carries details like the date and time of the NIFT exam, roll number, reporting time, name and address of the exam center, and exam-day guidelines.
Process to download NIFTEE Admit card
- Go to the NTA admission portal
- Click on the admit card download link
- You will be redirected to a log-in window
- Enter your application number, date of birth, and the security code displayed on the screen
- On successful log-in, you can download the admit card.
Separate admit cards to be issued for the Situation Test/ Personal Interview
Candidates will be shortlisted for the Situation Test/ PI based on their performance in the written exam. Shortlisted candidates will have to select their choice of exam city. Before the release of the admit cards, NTA will release a city-intimation slip.
NIFT 2027 Test Centre
The NTA will release the city-wise list of NIFT 2027 exam centers through the Information Bulletin. The written exams is expected to be conducted in 102 cities across India. The candidate must select their choice of exam city when filling out the NIFT 2027 application form. The name and address of the NIFT Entrance Exam Test Center 2027 allocated to the candidate will be mentioned in the NIFT admit card.

NIFT 2027 Answer key
NTA releases the NIFT Provisional Answer Key for NIFT Stage 1 in February. It is released on NTA NIFT website: exams.nta.nic.in/niftee. NTA releases the Answer Key for GAT section only. No answer key will be released for NIFT CAT. NIFT Answer Key is released by NTA after the conduct of the NIFTEE Stage 1 Exam: GAT. The Answer Key is released in the form of a PDF. The answer keys will be available on NTA NIFT portal. NTA allows candidates to raise objections online against the Provisional Answer Key by making a payment of ₹ 200/- per challenged question. Once the objection window is closed, no objections will be entertained from the candidates. No objections will be accepted from candidates through any other mode, such as email, postal letter, etc.
How to download the NIFT Answer Key?
- Click on the answer key download link.
- You will be redirected to a log-in window.
- Enter Roll Number, Program Name, Question Booklet No., and Date of Birth.
- On successful login, the corresponding answer key will be displayed on the screen.
- Download the answer key.
NIFT 2027 Result
The result is released twice: for Stage 1 and Stage 2/Final result. Candidates have to check their NIFT Final result in online mode only. To check NIFT entrance exam result 2027, follow these steps:
- Go to the NIFT-NTA portal and click on the result link
- A result log-in window will open
- Enter your application number and date of birth
- Also, enter the security code displayed on the screen
- On log-in, you can download the scorecard.
The scores of the written exam will be used to shortlist candidates for the Situation Test/ Personal Interview. The FINAL results of NIFT will be prepared by giving weightage to the written exam and Situation Test/ NIFT Personal Interview.
NIFT 2027 Counselling
NIFT Counselling starts in the month of May-June. It is conducted in online mode based on the merit rank, score and reservations. NIFT usually has 3-4 rounds of seat allotment along with a Sot Round.
Candidates who are shortlisted for the counselling process need to get:
- Register for NIFT counselling at the official website of the institute
- Pay the registration fee of INR 9,300 (non-refundable)
- Fill in the choices of academic programs and campuses

There is no fixed number of mock tests one should take before the NIFT Entrance Exam. A candidate should take at least one mock test daily for the NIFT Entrance Preparation. 10-15 mock tests will really help in preparing for the exam.
