NIFT PG Entrance Exam 2026 - NTA conducted the NIFT PG 2026 entrance exam. NTA released the NIFT Provisional Answer Key for NIFT Stage 1 today, February 17, 2026. It is released on NTA NIFT website: exams.nta.nic.in/niftee. NTA released the Answer Key for GAT section only. No answer key is released for NIFT CAT. NTA allows candidates to raise objection online against the Provisional Answer Key by making a payment of ₹ 200/- per challenged question. The objection window is open from February 17, 2026 to February 19, 2026.
NIFT PG Admit card 2026 was released on February 04, 2026. NIFT PG Admit Card has all the details regarding the NIFT reporting time, shift-wise time for GAT and CAT. NIFT Entrance Exam was conducted on February 08, 2026.

Commonly asked questions
The exam pattern for NIFT GAT varies from one course to another. The total number of questions asked in NIFT GAT is mentioned below: BDes: 100 questions, BFTech: 150 questions, MDes: 120 questions, MFTech: 150 questions, MFM: 150 questions. Note that the GAT or the General Ability Test will be conducted in a computer-based mode. Questions will be objective-type. The GAT paper for the B. Des and M.Des programs will be of 120 minutes. However, the GAT paper for the B.FTech, M.FTech, and MFM courses will be for 180 minutes.

It is recommended that the candidate make NIFT sample papers a part of their exam preparation strategy from the very beginning. For one, it will help the candidate evaluate their progress, hone their problem solving skills, and get a taste of the types of questions that will be asked in the entrance exam. Since at the start, most of the NIFT syllabus will be untouched, the candidate may focus on the topic they are preparing at that moment. NIFT exam may have multiple question booklet series Booklet Series A, Booklet Series F, Booklet Series L, Booklet Series R, etc.
Candidate must download the answer keys corresponding to their own booklet series. booklet series contains the same questions, but the questions are arranged differently. So, unless the candidate downloads the answer keys corresponding to the relevant booklets series, the keys will not match. And if that happens, the candidate will not be able to accurately calculate the probable scores.
National Institute of Design releases sample papers of NIFT on its admission portal. These sample papers are available for all the UG and PG courses offered by NIFT participating institutes. To download sample papers, candidate simply needs to click on the sample paper they want to download. There is no need to create an applicant account or provide any other applicant details to download the sample papers. However, if the candidate wishes to download sample papers published by coaching institutes, he or she may be required to create an account. Further, the candidate, in most cases, has to pay a fee to use the sample papers.

NIFT PG 2026 Admit Card
NIFT PG Admit Card 2026 was out on February 04, 2026 for all the PG programmes like M.Des, M.F.Tech and MFM. It was released on the NTA NIFT Website: exams.nta.nic.in/niftee. Candidates can download the NIFT PG Hall Ticket by entering their Application ID and Password. The admit card contains details like Name, Application number, Programme, timing, reporting time, etc.
It is mandatory for the candidates to take NIFT PG 2026 Admit Card with them along with the Photo ID proof to the NIFT Exam Centre.

NIFT PG 2026 Answer Key
NIFT PG Answer Key will be released by NTA after the conduct of the NIFTEE Stage 1 Exam: GAT. The Answer Key will be released in theform of a PDF. The answer keys will be available on NTA NIFT portal. Candidates will be allowed to view the answer key and submit their objections, if any, regarding any of the questions. Once the objection window is closed, no objections will be entertained from the candidates. No objections will be accepted from candidates through any other mode such as email, postal letter, etc.
How to download the NIFT PG 2026 Answer Key?

- You will be redirected to a log-in window.
- Enter Roll Number, Program Name, Question Booklet No., and Date of Birth.
- On successful login, the corresponding answer key will be displayed on the screen.

How to Prepare for NIFT PG 2026 Exam?
The candidate can prepare for the NIFT PG exam 2026 at home.
- To start exam preparation, the candidate needs to follow the updated syllabus and pattern.
- Next, make a study timetable taking into account the syllabus and difficulty level.
- It is recommended that the candidate take notes during preparation as these notes will come in handy for quick revision.

NIFT PG Entrance Exam 2026 - Counselling
- The National Institute of Fashion Technology will organize the counselling for NIFT PG 2026.
- The counselling process will be held online and will be a centralized process for the NIFT 2026 participating colleges.
- Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria must register for counseling and participate in a choice-filling process. As part pf the choice-filling process, the candidate needs to select their academic program and campus.
- The entries must be in the order of priority.
- The NIFT PG 2026 seat allotment will be based on the merit rank of the candidate, seats available, NIFT PG merit rank 2026, etc.
- The candidate will have to pay the seat-acceptance fee and confirm the seat within the given deadline. If the payment is not made, the allocation will be canceled and allocated to the candidate next in the order of merit.

The process to fill out the NIFT application form 2026 for PG courses is given below.

- A registration form will open
- Enter Aadhaar details and other basic information to register and create an applicant account.
- Next, log in to the account and fill in personal, academic, and contact details.
