NIFT PG Entrance Exam 2026 - NTA conducts the NIFT PG 2026 entrance exam. Candidates applying to the M.Des course will have to appear in both NIFT GAT and NIFT CAT, whereas M.FTech and M.F.M candidates need to take only the GAT. Candidates can appear in the NIFT entrance exam 2026 for admission to both UG and PG courses For admission to the 3rd semester of a UG course, the candidate needs to take the NLEA 2026 admission |
The NTA has released the admission schedule for the NIFT 2026 entrance exam, including the application dates. The last date to fill application will be in the first week of January 2026.
Candidates applying a late fee will have to pay an additional INR 5,000.
The application process for NIFT will be conducted online. After completing the application process, inclduing payment of fees, the candidate must download a printout of the application form.
In fact, the NIFT prospectus prescribes the candidate to “apply on time and keep a printout / photocopy of application form for further reference along with proof of payment.”

NIFT PG 2026 Application Form
The application form for NIFT PG 2026 is closed at exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT with late fees. Candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria could apply for the exam before the last date. Also, when filling in the form, the candidate must make sure that they are using only genuine and verifiable information, as otherwise, applications may be rejected.
How to apply for NIFT PG 2026?
The process to fill out the NIFT application form 2026 for PG courses is given below.
- Go to the NIFT 2026 admission portal
- Click on the “Click Here to Register/ Log-in (UG/PG)” tab
- A registration form will open
- Enter Aadhaar details and other basic information to register and create an applicant account.
- Next, log in to the account and fill in personal, academic, and contact details.
- Select an exam city from the drop-down menu.
- Upload documents.
- Pay the application fee and submit the application form.
NIFT PG Application Fee 2026
The candidate has to pay the application fee when filling out the form. Note that the application fee is non-refundable. The application fee can be paid online using a credit card, debit card, or net banking.

The NIFT 2026 application fee is category-specific. The application fee for General/OBC (Non-Creamy)/GEN-EWS Category. Meanwhile, those belonging to SC/ ST/ PwD Category need to pay only INR 1,500. The application fee has to be paid online using net banking, credit, or debit cards. The application fee will have to be paid at the time of filling out the NIFT application form. Note that payment made using demand draft will not be accepted.
The NTA will not edit/ modify/ alter any information entered by the candidate under any circumstances. It will also not entertain requests for change in information. So, you must exercise utmost caution when filling up the form.
Request for corrections made by any candidates through Post/Fax/ WhatsApp/ Email/ by hand will not be entertained by NTA.

How to Prepare for NIFT PG 2026 Exam
The candidate can prepare for the NIFT PG exam 2026 at home.
- To start exam preparation, the candidate needs to follow the updated syllabus and pattern.
- Next, make a study timetable taking into account the syllabus and difficulty level.
- It is recommended that the candidate take notes during preparation as these notes will come in handy for quick revision.
- Solve as many sample papers as you can. Also, solve previous years’ papers to understand the types of questions asked, the extent of the syllabus, and specific questions.
- Close to the exam, you can solve the NIFT 2026 mock tests.
NIFT PG Entrance Exam 2026 - Result
- NTA will declare the results of the NIFT PG Entrance Exam 2026 in March-April 2026.
- The scores of the written exam will be used to shortlist candidates for a Personal Interview.
- The dates and schedule for the interview will be released after the written exam results are declared.
- The FINAL result of the NIFT PG 2026 exam will be declared after considering the performance in the written exams (CAT and GAT) and the personal interview.

- The result of results of NIFT PG 2026 will be displayed on the screen

NIFT PG Entrance Exam 2026 - Counselling
- The National Institute of Fashion Technology will organize the counselling for NIFT PG 2026.
- The counselling process will be held online and will be a centralized process for the NIFT 2026 participating colleges.
- Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria must register for counseling and participate in a choice-filling process. As part pf the choice-filling process, the candidate needs to select their academic program and campus.
- The entries must be in the order of priority.
- The NIFT PG 2026 seat allotment will be based on the merit rank of the candidate, seats available, NIFT PG merit rank 2026, etc.
- The candidate will have to pay the seat-acceptance fee and confirm the seat within the given deadline. If the payment is not made, the allocation will be canceled and allocated to the candidate next in the order of merit.

Tech, M.F.Tech, and M.F.M programmes. The application form will be released at @nift.ac.in. The NIFT entrance exam application form is the same for all courses.
