NIFT Application Form Correction 2026 - NTA will open the application correction window soon. Using the correction facility, the candidate can edit all the particulars in the application form except for their registered email and mobile number. The application correction window will open in the second week of January 2026.

NIFT 2026 Application forms and Notifications are open for B.Des, M.Des, B.F. Tech, M.F.Tech, and M.F.M programmes. The application form is released at  @nift.ac.in. The NIFT entrance exam application form is the same for all courses. The application fee for NIFT is INR 3,000 (INR 1500 for SC, ST, and PwD categories). NIFT 2026 entrance exam will be conducted on February 08, 2026.

What is NIFT Application Correction Window?

NIFT gives the opportunity to edit the NIFT application form if there was any mistake at the time of filling the application form. It opens after the Application window is closed. Candidates can edit certain information like Name, Father's Name, Mother's Name, etc. This window is known as NIFT Application Correction Window. Using the NIFT 2026 application correction window, the candidate can also upload fresh documents. However, if the candidate changes their admission category, any additional fee, if applicable, has to be paid.

Details that can’t be edited in NIFT 2026 Application form

The candidate can’t edit the following information in the application form.

1. The registered Email ID
2. Mobile number

Can I edit admission category in NIFT 2026 Application form?

Yes, the candidate can also modify their admission category. To make the changes, the candidate simply needs to edit the category option. Also, the candidate must pay the additional fee (wherever applicable) using a credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI available on the application portal.  

It is recommended that the candidate select the correct category because all details will be verified at the time of NIFT 2026 counselling. If any anomaly is found, the candidate may be disqualified from the admission process. 

How to make corrections in NIFT Application Form 2026?

Candidates must follow the steps listed below to edit the NIFT 2026 application form.

1. Go to the NIFT 2026 admission portal
2. If the Correction Window is open, the link will be activated
3. Click on the NIFT 2026 application form Correction tab
4. You will be redirected to a log-in window
5. Enter your registered application number, email ID, and DOB to log in
6. On log-in, you will be able to make the necessary changes
7. Submit the application form after making the corrections

NIFT 2026 Application Form - Document Required

Before applying for NIFT 2026, you need to keep the list of documents ready.

• Copy of Board / University Certificate for Candidate’s Name, Mother’s Name, Father’s
• Name and Date of Birth
• Type of Identification–Bank A/c passbook with photograph /Passport Number/ Ration Card/
• Aadhaar Card Number/ Voter ID Card Number/ Other Govt ID
• Qualifying Degree Certificate or last semester marks sheet
• Your Mailing Address as well as Permanent Address with PIN code
• Four cities for Centres of your choice
• Category Certificate, if applicable
• Undertaking / Result Awaited Certificate, if applicable
• Economically Weaker Section (EWS) Certificate, if applicable
• SC, ST, OBC (NCL) Certificate, if applicable
• Person with Disability (PwD) Certificate & UDID, if applicable
• E-mail address and Mobile Number of the candidate
• Scanned images in JPG format only
• Candidate’s Photograph - File size must be between 10-200 KB.
• Candidate’s Signature in running hand - File size must be between 04-30 KB.

NIFT 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The NTA will release the program-wise eligibility criteria for NIFT 2026.

It is the responsibility of the candidate to carefully go through the eligibility criteria. Note that unless the candidate meets these conditions, he or she will not be considered for admission.

Among the important eligibility conditions that the candidate needs to meet are academic qualifications, age limit, number of attempts, etc.
