AAI Recruitment through GATE 2026: The Airport Authority of India (AAI) will conduct recruitment through GATE 2026 scores. Online application form will be available for Junior Executive Posts. Aspirants with GATE branches in civil, electrical, electronics engineering, and architecture are eligible for the post. To apply for this post, candidates must have a valid GATE score of 2026/2025/2024.
The AAI GATE application fee is INR 300 (for the general category). Reserved category, female, and PwD candidates are exempted from paying the registration fee. About Airport Authority of India (AAI)
AAI, also known as Airports Authority of India, is a Miniratna Public Sector Unit (PSU). It manages a total of 137 airports, comprising 23 international airports (3 Civil Enclaves), 10 Custom Airports (4 Civil Enclaves), and 104 Domestic Airports (23 Civil Enclaves). The organisation aims to create, upgrade, maintain, and manage civil aviation infrastructure both on the ground and in airspace in the country.
AAI Recruitment Job Profile
The candidates recruited through GATE usually work in CNS (Communication, Navigation, and Surveillance) departments. They look after various technical equipment installed at airports to aid flights, maintain security and perform other operations. The major task of the recruited engineers is to take readings continuously, keep a record, and maintain the desired performance. In case of failure or malfunction, they identify and repair same.

AAI Recruitment through GATE 2026: Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility conditions for AAI recruitment are listed below:
- Must have Indian nationality and must not be older than 27 (for unreserved category)
- For reserved (SC/ST) category, age relaxation of 5 years is applicable. For OBC, 3 years relaxation is applicable
- Upper age limit is relaxable by 10 years for PwBD candidates where the post is identified as suitable for the relevant category of disability, supported by a certificate of disability issued on or before 27.09.2025 by the Competent Authority.
- For Ex‐servicemen, age relaxation is applicable as per the rules prescribed by the Government of India.
- Relaxation by 05 (Five) Years for the candidate who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period January 1, 1980, to December 31, 1989. Such candidates have to provide the certificate for the same issued by District Magistrate/Block Development Officer/Sub Divisional Officer at the time of document verification.
- The Date of Birth mentioned in the Matriculation/Secondary Examination Certificate will only be accepted.

How to Apply for AAI Recruitment via GATE 2026 Scores
Candidates interested in AAI vacancies will be required to follow the instructions below carefully before applying online:
Candidate's Registration
- Interested candidates can apply for AAI recruitment at https://www.aai.aero/. Complete the registration. You have to provide information like name, a valid Email ID, mobile number, GATE Year, Paper, Registration Number, GATE All India Rank (AIR), Score and Marks (out of 100). Login credentials are sent to email id.
Log in to fill details
- Log in using the username and password.
- Candidates must change the given password to one that is suitable to them.
- After logging in, candidates should fill up the details left to complete the GATE application form.
- Candidates must check all the filled-in details before submitting the application form.
Upload photo and signature
Candidates must upload their signature and photograph as instructed. The dimensions and specifications for the same are given below.

Make the payment for the application form
- After uploading the documents and submitting the application form finally, candidates should wait for 24 hours to make the payment
- Female/ Pwd/ SC/ST candidates need not pay the fees and can directly print their application form by going to the print option.
- The application fees of Rs 300 are to be paid online through Internet Banking/Debit/Credit Card only from the State Bank Collect System.
- Candidates must note the 10-digit Transaction Reference Number starting with “DU” that is generated after payment for their future reference.

AAI GATE 2026 Recruitment - Selection Process
Candidates will be screened based on normalised GATE Scores. Shortlisted candidates will be called directly for document verification at the corporate headquarters in New Delhi.
- The call letter for document verification will be sent to the candidates' registered email ID.
- At the time of document verification, must produce their original and photocopies of the documents, including a copy of the call letter, proof of identity, and original certificates. All photocopies must be self-attested by the candidates.
- Candidates employed in a Government/Semi‐Government/PSU establishment are required to produce a NOC from the current employer at the time of document verification.
- Post document verification, the selection will be done as per the merit list prepared on the GATE Normalised Marks of applicants.
Candidates are advised to keep checking the official website frequently for the recruitment. Ensure that you keep your GATE scorecard ready.

Yes, GATE rank is valid for three years. However, some PSUs might not accept previous year's GATE scorecard. Therefore, it is better to go through guidelines and official notification before applying. If a candidate has more than two GATE scorecard, then they must use the one with best score and rank.
GATE 2026 scorecard will be made available for free download from March 27 to May 31. Later from June 1 to December 31, the scorecard can be downloaded by paying a fee of INR 500. The GATE scorecard 2026 will remain valid till 2029.

No. Candidate can apply online only for CCMT. The candiadtes must visit the official website to apply for the counselling during the dates specified. Offline submission of CCMT application form is not allowed by the authority. Candidates must create a registration ID to access the CCMT result portal.
40 marks in GATE will approximately give a rank between 2000 to 5000 depending on the paper difficulty level and the number of registered candidates in that particular branch. Obtaining 40 marks is mainly considered average, opening chances to a few new IITs (less popular branches) and NITs.
However, rank for 40 marks in the Graduate Aptitude in Engineering can give a different rank value for different branches and disciplines. For example, 40 marks in GATE CSE can correspond to 9000 to 10000 rank. On the other hand, 40 marks in GATE ME, can correspond to 6000 - 7100 rank.
Advice to students who secured 40 marks in GATE exam: Better to apply in some state-level colleges or new NITs.
The highest GATE cutoff score for NIT M.Tech admission typically ranges from 800 to 850 in the first round. Some of the top NITs include NIT Surathkal, NIT Trichy, and NIT Warangal, accept admissions with GATE score 800 above for branches like EC, CS, ME, and EE.
Qualified candidates have to register at the CCMT portal to participate in the GATE counselling. The counselling process will begin in June/July.
