The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani is one of the best institutions in India offering technology and engineering programmes as well as other professional courses. BITSAT (BITS Admission Test) is a computer-based admission test conducted by BITS- Pilani for its integrated first-degree programmes offered by all its three campuses – Pilani campus, Goa campus and Hyderabad campus.
Like many other competitive exams, BITSAT is a reiteration of NCERT syllabus of Class 11 and Class 12. So, students are advised to pay special attention to their school studies and refer the NCERT textbooks as their BITSAT Bible.

Students are advised to cover the entire syllabus of BITSAT but we shall help you in getting acquainted with some of the chief chapters which demand extra attention. We consider the different subjects one by one:
Chemistry:
Some of the topics are extremely important and one cannot imagine missing out any of them. The most vital areas which generally fetch good amount of questions include chemical bonding, atomic structure, p-block elements, carboxylic acid & its derivatives, mole concepts etc. Some other topics which are equally important include s-block elements, solid state, general organic chemistry, chemical kinetics, environmental chemistry. Domains like gaseous state, redox reactions, surface chemistry, solutions and polymers should be practices only once you are done with the rest of the syllabus.
The important chapters with their weightage in the exam are tabulated below:
