IIT Bombay will release the GATE 2021 admit card for candidates who have successfully registered for the exam. Read on to know various details related to GATE admit card 2021.
GATE 2021 admit card will be released by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay today on the official website i.e. gate.iitb.ac.in. To download the GATE admit card, candidates will have to login with their credentials.
GATE 2021 exam will be conducted by the IIT Bombay on February 6 and 7 and on February 13 and 14 in two sessions. The forenoon session will held from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and the afternoon session from 3 pm to 6 pm.

GATE 2021 Admit Card: Steps to download
Once the GATE admit card link is available, candidates will be required to follow the instructions mentioned below:
- Visit the GATE 2021 official website: gate.iitb.ac.in
- Click on the “Download Admit Card Link”
- A new page will appear where candidates will have to log in with their credentials
- After logging in, the admit card will be available on the screen
- Download the GATE 2021 admit card and take its multiple coloured printouts
IIT Bombay has also made available the GATE 2021 mock tests online on the GOAPS portal. According to an official statement, “These mock test links are for the candidates of GATE 2021 to practice the Computer-based Test (CBT). The exact pattern/format of questions in the real examination of GATE 2021 may vary from these mock test links.”
The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national-level exam conducted every year jointly by IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, IIT Roorkee and Indian Institute for Science, Bangalore (IISC Bangalore). The exam is conducted online for admission to Master of Engineering (ME), Masters in Technology (MTech) and direct PhD admissions to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and other institutes/universities across India. IIT Bombay is the organising institute of GATE 2021. The aptitude test will be conducted for 27 subjects this year.

No, GATE questions are not exactly repeated. However, the concept, core, and question format may remain the same. Therefore, candidates must focus on concept-building and practice GATE PYQs as many times as possible. In addition, solve mock test paper to improve accuracy and time management.

Yes, GATE has negative marking for Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) only. In GATE question paper, MCQs will be of one and two marks. Hence, the marking scheme for such questions can be checked below -
- For one mark MCQ - 1/3rd mark will be deducted
- For two mark MCQ - 2/3rd mark will be deducted

NHCE Bangalore accepts GATE score for admission to M.Tech programme. However, it is not compulsory. Aspirants can also get into M.Tech course based on their Karnataka PGCET scores. Selected candidates have to confirm their seat by paying the course fees.

Candidates need to graduate from BTech at IIT Dhanbad with a minimum GPA of 8.0 or above to qualify for M.Tech admissions without GATE. Only the candidates who clear BTech from IIT Dhanbad are allowed admissions without GATE into M.Tech at II Dhanbad with the aforementioned score.

No, the GATE 2026 has already been concluded for IIT Dhanbad M.Tech admissions. The GATE 2026 registrations are closed in the month of October. Candidates who have appeared for GATE will need to wait for all merit-lists to be revealed.

The PhD admissions to the Institute Assistantship courses at IIT Guwahati require candidates to appear for the GATE or CEED.
