IOCL Recruitment through GATE 2021 will begin from January 2021 for engineers wherein candidates will be shortlisted for jobs based on their scores in the exam. Read on to know more.
IOCL Recruitment through GATE 2021: Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) is looking for engineers and officers based on their Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2021 score. The exam is scheduled to be held on February 5, 6, 7, and 12, 13, and 14.
Students will be shortlisted for various vacancies in IOCL based on their GATE 2021 score. Shortlisted candidates will have to undergo group discussion, group tasks, and personal interviews.
IOCL Recruitment through GATE 2021 will be conducted for five streams: Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Mechanical Engineering. Students who will qualify GATE 2021 exam with these will be eligible for the recruitment process ahead.

The IOCL recruitment through GATE application will begin as soon as the GATE 2021 admit card is released i.e. January 8, 2021. IOCL is likely to release the detailed notification in this regard soon. Candidates must note that the GATE 2020 scores are not valid for this recruitment.
Candidates have to apply separately for GATE 2021 and Indian Oil. Candidates may log in to the IOCL website i.e. www.iocl.com for details regarding prescribed educational qualification, age, eligibility criteria, application procedure, etc.
GATE 2021 witnessed 8,82,684 student registrations which are slightly higher than the last year’s 8.59 lakh applications. A total of 14,196 students have applied for newly introduced humanities subjects. IIT Bombay, the exam conducting institute, has also allowed students in third-year as well as in humanities to apply for GATE 2021. The exam is conducted every year for admission to MTech and PhD courses across IITs, IISc, other colleges and apply for jobs at PSUs.

No, GATE questions are not exactly repeated. However, the concept, core, and question format may remain the same. Therefore, candidates must focus on concept-building and practice GATE PYQs as many times as possible. In addition, solve mock test paper to improve accuracy and time management.

Yes, GATE has negative marking for Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) only. In GATE question paper, MCQs will be of one and two marks. Hence, the marking scheme for such questions can be checked below -

The PhD admissions to the Institute Assistantship courses at IIT Guwahati require candidates to appear for the GATE or CEED.
