A:

JoSAA 2026 counselling for JEE Main and JEE Advanced qualifiers will begin in June 2026. The entire schedule of JoSAA counselling 2026 will be uploaded on josaa.nic.in.

Q:   When will the JEE Advanced 2026 result release?
A:

The JEE Advanced 2026 result will be out a few days of the exam is over, tentatively in the first week of June 2026. The candidates will be able to check the JEE Advanced 2026 result online on the official website.

Q:   Is the JEE Advanced result and scorecard different?
A:

YES. The JEE Advanced 2026 result will be initially announced that will have the subject wise marks and overall marks of the candidates at jeeadv.ac.in. Also, there will be the JEE Advanced AIR of the candidate alonwith the qualifying status. This result is just for information of the candidates so that they can start with the admission process.

However, the JEE Advanced scorecard, which acts as the official document is issued a few days later on the official website - jeeadv.ac.in.

  • Step 1: Visit the official website, jeeadv.ac.in.
  • Step 2: Now, click on the link for the JEE Advanced 2025 response sheet.
  • Step 3: A login screen will open; here, enter the JEE Advanced 2025 login details as asked.
  • Step 4: Under the login portal, candidates can access the response sheet.

How to Use the JEE Advanced 2025 Response Sheet To Calculate Score?

To calculate the marks using the JEE Advanced response sheet, candidates have to use the steps below:

  • Candidates must check the recorded response in the response sheet and match it with the correct answer in the answer key
  • Then, candidates have to assign and deduct marks as per the marking scheme of the exam.
  • Calculate the marks for correct answers and wrong answers, and that will be the raw score of JEE Advanced 2025.

JEE Advanced 2025 Answer Key

Candidates can download the JEE Advanced 2025 answer key PDF for papers 1 and 2 on the official website. Feedback and comments on provisional answer keys from the candidates are accepted, and based on that, a final answer key is prepared. The final JEE Advanced answer key will then be released on the official website with the result. To check scores using the JEE Advanced answer key, candidates have to follow the marking scheme of the exam. The marking scheme of the exam is given on the JEE Advanced question paper.

Q:   Will I get my JEE Advanced result via email?
A:

The conducting IIT sometimes send the JEE Advanced result on the email of parents and candidates are provided while registering for the exam. However, in certain year the result is not sent via email. Hence, candidates whould not wait for the JEE Advanced result on their email and check it from the official website - jeeadv.ac.in as soon as the result is out.

Q:   What it means if I get no rank in JEE Advanced result?
A:

If you get no rank in JEE Advanced result, that means you have not qualified the exam. The candidates who qualify the exam are only assigned a rank ijn the exsam and it is mentioned on the result.

Candidates can raise objections against the official answers that seem incorrect to them. To challenge the answer key, candidates have to login using the JEE Advanced application number and password. Then, click on the link to challenge the answer key. Candidates have to mark the number of questions whose answer is to be challenged. Also, candidates need to upload the documents in support of their objections and pay fees (if applicable). To finalise the challenges, candidates have to click on the submit button to challenge.

JEE Advanced 2025 Marking Scheme

Candidates have to use the JEE Advanced 2025 marking scheme to calculate scores using the JEE Advanced response sheet and the answer keys. The JEE Advanced 2025 exam pattern and marking scheme can be checked in the JEE Advanced 2025 question paper, or the same is given below:

Section-wise JEE Advanced marking scheme for Paper 1:

The paper has three parts - Maths, Physics and Chemistry. Each part is further divided into four sections. The marking scheme of each of the sections was as follows:

1 4 Single Correct MCQs +3 for correct answer, -1 for incorrect, 0 for unattempted.

JEE Advanced 2025 Qualifying Marks

A candidate is said to have qualified in JEE Advanced if they secure the minimum percentage of marks in each subject and the aggregate, as per respective category and as per the table given below. A candidate who qualifies in more than one category will be considered in all the categories to which he/she belong for ranking.

JEE Advanced 2025 Result

Candidates can check and download the JEE Advanced 2025 scorecard under their respective login on jeeadv.ac.in. To download the JEE Advanced 2025 scorecard, candidates have to use their 7-digit roll number, date of birth and the 10-digit phone number that they used while registering for JEE (Advanced).

JEE Advanced 2025 result is based on the marks secured by the candidates in the exam. The marks obtained by a candidate in Physics in JEE Advanced 2025 will equal the marks scored in the Physics part of Paper 1 plus the marks scored in the Physics part of Paper 2. The aggregate marks obtained by a candidate in JEE (Advanced) 2025 will be the sum of the marks awarded to the candidate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Marks obtained in Chemistry and Mathematics will be calculated in the same way.

No, your candidature will be rejected as you need to have minimum of 75% in class 12 to be eligible for admisison to the IITs, NIT, IIITs and GFTIs via the JoSAA counselling.
