The rgistration process of applying for JEE Main 2026 has changed this year. As per the new changes introduced, candidates will now have to upload live captured photograph while filling the form using webcam of laptop/computer along with uploading the scanned photo. Also, the details filled by candidates will be verified using Aadhaar e-KYC system.

Q:   What is Aadhar Enrollment Number used in JEE Main Application Form?
A:

Aadhar enrollment number is a unique number which students can find in the acknowledgement receipt received at the time of applying for Aadhar. Students should know that Aadhar enrollment number is not same as Aadhar number. At the time of filling JEE Main application form, candidates have to fill Aadhar Enrollment number and not Aadhar number.

In case candidates do not have Aadhar enrollment number, students can apply through Passport, PAN or ABC ID (Academic Bank of Credit ID).

Documents Required for JEE Mains 2026 Registration

Candidates need to have certain documents which are required during JEE Mains registration 2026. The complete list of documents required to fill JEE Main 2026 application form is provided here

Q:   Can I upload black & White photo in JEE Main application form?
A:

Yes, candidates can upload black & white photograph in JEE Mains application form. There is no restriction on the type of photograph. The conditions that candidates need to fulfill for uploading the photograph are

  • Photograph should be in JPEG/JPG format
  • Dimention has to be 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm
  • Size has to be 10 KB to 200 KB

Also, the photograph should be clear with white background. The candidates are allowed to have spectacles in the photograph but sunglasses and caps are not allowed. JEE Main application form 2024 will be released in December.

JEE Main 2026 Registration

This is the first step in filling JEE Main application form. During JEE Main 2026 registration, candidates need to provide details about their name, email ID, and phone number. Candidates also need to create a log-in password of their choice which will be required for all future login. After the completion of the registration process, candidates will receive their JEE Main registration number in their email ID and mobile phone number.

Fill JEE Main 2026 Application Form

Pay Application Fees

Candidates need to pay the application fees online using Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, UPI, or Paytm Services. The fees applicable for payment will depend on the category and gender of candidates. This is the last step in filling JEE Main application form. After the successful payment of the fee, JEE Main Registration 2026 will be completed. Candidates need to take a printout of their filled application form and keep it safe till the completion of the admission process.

JEE Main Application Form Correction 2026

NTA will provide the JEE Main form correction facility from December 1 to 2, 2025. Candidates who want to make any changes in their filled application form will need to login on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in and modify the required details. It is however advised to candidates that they fill out the application form with utmost care. Also, in case a candidate fills out multiple application forms, the applications of all such candidates will be rejected.
