One mark is awareded for every correct answers while there is no negative marking for incorrect answers in KCET exam. Applicants from Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga also have to appear for the KCET Kannada language exam which is conducted for a duration of 60 minutes.

Yes the authority does release previous year question paper along with answer keys.

How to attempt Biology Section 

While preparing for the Biology Subject of the KCET exam, candidates are advised to follow the preparation tips mentioned below - 

  • Solve at least 10 years of PYQs, as roughly 20-40% of questions follow recurring patterns.

  • Two-Round Attempt:

  1. Round 1: Tackle all direct and easy questions first.

  2. Round 2: Revisit and solve moderate or time-consuming questions.

  • While appearing for the KCET exam for Biology subject, attempt all 60 questions; use the process of elimination for those you are unsure of.

KCET is only for Karnataka domicile students — so students from other states cannot apply for KCET unless they have studied in Karnataka for a minimum number of years (usually Classes 6–10 or 11–12 in a Karnataka school).

Amity University, Bangalore has not mentioned KCET as a mandatory entrance exam for BBA at Amity University, Bangalore. However, most UG level admissions at the institute are decided through its scores. Thus, candidates are advised to ask this question from someone in the admission desk.
