To view the MHT CET merit list 2020, candidates will require the MHT CET application form number/ID and date of birth (DOB).  After the MHT CET result 2020 declared, a separate merit list will be prepared for all the courses. MHT CET Merit List 2020

MHT CET 2020 Merit List will be released on November 28. The merit list will be released by exam authority on the basis of the rank that the candidates have secured in the MHT CET exam. The score obtained by the candidate in MHT CET 2020 entrance examination will form the basis for the formation of the merit list. The MHT CET merit list will be published in ascending order.

  • On the top of the MHT CET merit list, name of the students who have secured the highest marks will be mentioned
  • On the bottom MHT CET merit list, the name of those students will be mentioned who have secured the lowest marks
  • Students will be called for the MHT CET counselling process according to the merit obtained by them in the examination

Steps to check MHT CET Merit List 2020

MHT CET merit will be available in online mode on the official website. In order to check the merit list, candidates can follow these below the steps:

  1. In the first step, candidates are required to visit the official website (candidates can also click on the link on this page when released)
  2. Now click on the link ‘MHT CET merit list 2020’ (will be available on the website)
  3. After this, a new page will appear on the screen
  4. Enter your login credentials such as MHT CET application ID and date of birth in the login window
  5. The MHT CET merit list will be displayed on the screen
  6. Now, download and also save the merit list 

What is MHT CET Provisional Merit List 2020?

The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra (the official exam conducting body) will prepare the provisional MHT CET merit list on the basis of marks secured in the MHT CET 2020 entrance test. In case a candidate finds any discrepancy, then they can submit their grievances at the designated Felicitation Centres.

What is MHT CET Final Merit List 2020?

The official exam conducting body after evaluating the objections raised by the respected candidates, will release the final MHT CET merit list within a few days. On the basis of the final merit list, all the shortlisted candidates will further called for MHT CET 2020 counselling and seat allotment rounds.

MH CET 2020 Tie-Breaking Criteria

In case, two or more MHT CET top scorers have got equal marks in total, a tie-breaking practice will be followed by the admission authorities. Those who will have higher percentage of marks in Board or qualifying examination for Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry taken together will be given the preference. Other preferences to be followed are given below in the following order:

  • Less incorrect attempts by the student in Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics, and Physics will be given preference
  • Less incorrect marks by the student in Biology/ Mathematics will be given preference
  • Less incorrect attempts by the student in Chemistry will be given the preference
  • Highest marks obtained by the student in class 12 will be given preference
  • Older in age will be given preference
  • Candidate with higher marks or score in Mathematics at MHT CET
  • Candidate with higher marks or score in Physics at MHT CET
  • Candidate with higher marks or score in Chemistry at MHT CET
  • Higher % of marks in Mathematics/Physics/Chemistry or Aggregate at HSC

MHT CET 2020 Merit List Marks Calculation

To calculate the marks, candidates must know the MHT CET entrance examination pattern and also the marking pattern/scheme followed. Candidates must also know that there will be no negative marking in case of any wrong answers or unattempted questions. Check below the calculation of the marks below:

MHT CET = (Total Correct answers in Maths x 2) + (Total Correct answers in Physics and Chemistry x 1)
