Participating in several competitions has boosted my confidence to the next level. Moreover, doing something new for the society is something that I have learned from college staff.
I had chosen non-medical stream after 10th standard as I have a personal interest in this stream. I wanted to do something for the society in the technical aspect so I decided to pursue Btech as my career field. I chose the Computer Science domain due to my interest in computers. I wanted to combine my technical knowledge of the computer with the field of science. I also have an interest in creating mobile apps and games. I want to do all these things because of my personal interest.
Explore colleges based on JEE Main
I wanted to take admission in a government college but I was not able to clear the JEE Main entrance exam. So, I decided to get admission in other colleges. Finally, I got one of the best colleges where more focus is given on studies. I was really passionate about my studies from childhood. So the college I chose is appropriate for me to build a bright career.
I got admission to B.S. Anangpuria Institute of Technology & Management, Faridabad on the basis of my 12th percentage. There is a percentage criterion set by the college for the admission. The students possessing above 70% in their 12th standard are eligible for admission. I scored above 80% in my 12th standard in the year 2016 and got the admission. There is no specific entrance exam for the admission. Although, the college conducts a test to check the knowledge of each student. The students qualifying the test along with the required percentage in their higher secondary are admitted to the college. As far as coaching classes are concerned, I hadn’t taken any for the preparation.
Although to get admission in the best colleges, I was preparing for the JEE Mains exam. But I was not able to clear it. I was trying to get admission in several government colleges like IITs and NITs. In addition to that, I was also keen to take admission in YMCA college (now J.C. Bose University).
The four years were really good. In this duration, I made new friends and enjoyed my college life to the fullest. I used to spend most of my time in classrooms and the rest of my time in labs because I think it is much better than wasting time on other things. I feel happier in classes and labs rather than strolling uselessly. As far as classes are concerned I try my best to attend major classes that are scheduled for the day.
I really like classes where there is good interaction between teachers and students. I love to attend classes where the practical implementation of the subject is taught. In extra-curricular activities, I am majorly interested in conducting events. I think conducting events is something useful for the college as well as for the students. The students can gain more practical knowledge from these events. The cultural activities, technical events and the guest lectures are a benefit to the students.
If I got a chance to do something for the college students I would make changes in the curriculum taught to students. There are many subjects that are not related to the course chosen by the student and they are not going to help the students in the future. The university has taken an initiative to change the curriculum but implying it after decades is actually not an appropriate solution.
Lastly, I would say that the college experience has changed me as a person. Participating in several competitions has boosted my confidence to the next level. Moreover, doing something new for the society is something that I have learned from college staff. This has also been really helpful for me.

Honestly, going for CSE at Chandigarh University with your score sounds like a solid choice. I'm saying this because CU has become a hub for tech placements and internships, and the environment is pretty competitive in a good way. Your 88 percentile in JEE Main could also land you a scholarship, whi

Yes. Students with valid JEE Main scores can apply for admissions through the WBJEE counselling. However, these students will be eligible for allotment only in the 10% approved seats offered by the self-financing colleges and institutes participating in the state-level counselling.
