SRM University declared SRMJEEE(UG) 2017 ranks and scores recently. The exam for admissions to Engineering & Technology courses offered by SRM University Kattankulathur, SRM Haryana and SRM Amaravati campuses was held from April 1 to April 30, 2017. This year, over 2 lakh students registered for SRMJEEE(UG). Out of these, 1,68,527 aspirants appeared for the exam which was conducted in 118 centers in India and three centers in the Middle East(for NRI candidates).
The University has a wider reach which was reflected in the number of registrations pouring in from states other than Tamil Nadu. Around 7929 candidates applied for the exam from Uttar Pradesh, 7298 candidates from Tamil Nadu, 6890 candidates from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and 4580 candidates from Delhi.

Admissions to all the BTech programmes offered by SRM University is based on the ranks obtained in the exam. The university has announced SRMJEEE (UG) 2017 counseling schedule on the official SRM University website.
The counseling session for admission to BTech commenced on May 14 and will continue till May 22, 2017. The counselling process for admissions to MTech programmes will begin on May 23 at SRM University Kattankulathur campus. Check SRMJEEE(UG) 2017 important dates here.

On the first day, candidates who have secured ranks from 1 to 10000 will be called for counseling. Those who secured ranks from 10001 to 70000 are scheduled to be called for subsequent dates. Founder’s Scholarships will be awarded to students based on the rank obtained in SRMJEEE 2017 on the first day of counseling. Top 100 will get 100% waiver of tuition and hostel fees; rank 101 to 500, 75% tuition fee waiver and rank 501 to 1000, 50% tuition fee waiver.

The counselling process will also apply to the new SRM University – AP, Amaravati, where only students with a board examination mark of above 60% and a SRMJEEE rank within 35,000 will be eligible to apply.
SRM Engineering Counseling Carnival:
SRM Engineering Counseling Carnival 2017(open house) will be held between May 12 and May 23, 2017 at the Kattankulathur Campus. The Carnival is open to all parents and prospective students of BTech / MTech. A joint exercise of all four Campuses of SRM University, the SRM Engineering Counseling Carnival will aim to provide an opportunity to parents and prospective students to get to know about the multi- faceted professionalism of SRM University in developing future engineers. This will further assist students in making the right choices and decisions to secure their future.
The newly launched Amaravati University has elicited fantastic response from the students. Nearly 3178 students expressed interest in applying for this campus. During the first day of Cycle 1 admissions, 10 toppers of SRMJEEE including the 51st rank holder has opted for Amarawati.
At the close of the day of counselling, there was high demand for CSE and Mechanical engineering Pogrammes.
