COAP 2026 registration link is now activated on the official website - https://coap2026.iitr.ac.in/coap2026/. Candidates who want to apply for IITs must register at COAP first. Candidates can refer to IIT GATE MTech cutoff details to understand the selection process. The counselling for COAP will be done in rounds depending on seat availability.

COAP is a common portal for all the above participating institutions and PSUs. These institutes and PSUs will upload their offers on this portal. Candidates who register at COAP can access admission or job offers where they have applied.

Who Can Register for COAP 2026?
GATE COAP 2026 Registrations are ongoing. Candidates who want to pursue MTech at IITs must register before deadline. The application form is available on the website. Students who have qualified GATE are eligible. Based on cutoff scores, the selection will be for admissions. According to eligibility criteria of COAP 2026 -
- Nationality must be Indian
- Must have qualified GATE and have a valid GATE scorecard
- If a candidate has more than one scorecard, then students have to provide their best score for GATE COAP counselling
Also, students must note that GATE scorecard is valid for three years. Candidates can download their scorecard at GOAPS portal using their enrollment ID and password. 40 marks in GATE will approximately give a rank between 2000 to 5000 depending on the paper difficulty level and the number of registered candidates in that particular branch. Obtaining 40 marks is mainly considered average, opening chances to a few new IITs (less popular branches) and NITs.
