NTSE Cutoff 2026 for Stage 1: All States and UTs are expected to release the NTSE 2026 cutoff along with the NTSE result. The cut off mentions the minimum marks a candidate needs to score to qualify the NTS Stage 1 exam. Those who achieve the cutoff score can find their name, roll numbers, and other details on the merit list. Shortlisted candidates will need to appear for NTSE stage 2 exam 2026.

NCERT mentions the qualifying NTSE 2026 cutoff for candidates. However, it isn't necessary that obtaining the qualifying cutoff will make one eligible for the NTSE stage 2. Candidates need to achieve the cutoff as released separately by States and UTs. The NTSE qualifying cutoff 2026 is provided below. Candidates need to achieve the below cutoff in both MAT and SAT separately.

NTSE Cut off 2026 for Stage 1

All states and UTs will release the NTSE stage 1 cutoff 2026 along with the NTSE result 2025, tentatively. Candidates can refer to the previous years' cutoff for different states as released by the respective SCERTs below. This can give them an idea of the minimum score they need to obtain to qualify the Stage 1 exam.

NTSE Cut off 2026 for Stage 2

NCERT will release the NTSE stage 2 cutoff 2026 along with the result. The NTSE Stage 2 result 2026 is expected to be out in August/September 2026 on the official website.

Those who clear the second stage of NTSE 2026 will be awarded the NTS scholarship. These candidates will get a monthly stipend of Rs. 1250 in classes 11 and 12, Rs.2000 when pursuing undergraduate and post-graduate programmes in basic sciences.
