The Symbiosis Entrance Test for Law 2023 will be held from 9 am to 10 am, in a Computer-based test mode on May 6, 2023 (Test 1) and May 14, 2023 (Test 2). Read here exam day checklist for SLAT 2023 before taking the exam. 

The Symbiosis International University (SIU) is conducting SLAT 2023 in a Computer-Based Test mode across various test centres in 80 cities of India. Those appearing for the law admission test for SIU constituent colleges, must be aware of the exam day instructions, and important documents to carry along to the test centres. SLAT 2023 Exam Day Checklist

Candidates should be prepared for the exam day beforehand, keeping following things in check: 

  • SLAT 2023 Admit Card - To take the SLAT 2023 exam, candidates must download and print their admit card. The admit card contains exam centre information, exam details, and test centre instructions. Candidates will not be allowed to take the SLAT 2023 unless they have a valid admit card. The exam will begin at 9 a.m. sharp, and entry into the examination hall will close at 8:45 a.m., so candidates should prepare the document a day in advance. They must not wait until the exam day to obtain admit card printouts. Furthermore, they are cannot show the SLAT 2023 admit card on their mobile phones. The admit card should be a coloured copy, and candidates should also carry 2 passport size photographs to paste on it at the time of exam formalities inside the test hall. Candidates also need to note that they must affix their coloured passport-size photo to the SLAT 2023 admit card. This photo must not be older than 3 months. It is recommended by the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) authority to download their admit card using a laptop or desktop.

  • Supporting Photo ID - Along with the admit card, candidates also need to carry a valid photo ID proof including Driving License, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, College Id, or Aadhaar Card. The photos on these IDs should be clearly visible. 
  • Things allowed to carry inside the examination hall - Candidates can carry only the SLAT 2023 Admit Card along with an original and valid Photo ID Card, a simple ballpoint pen, and a cleat water bottle. 
  • Things not to carry inside the examination hall - Candidates must not carry items including Mobile phones or any other electronic gadgets such as watches, calculators, smart devices of any kind, etc. and paper/ notes. The exam centre officials will not be responsible for loss/ misplacement of candidates' belongings. 
  • Bell timings for SLAT 2023 - The exam schedule and bell timings for SLAT 2023 are as under:

Q:   What is the eligibility criteria for LLB at Symbiosis Law School, Pune?
A:

The common eligibility for LLB course is 10+2 with the recognised board with 45% marks. 5% relaxation is for SC/ST students.

SLS Pune offers admission to BA-LLB and BBA-LLB programs through SET exam. Interested candidates who passed 10+2 or equivalent from any recognised Board with a minimum of 50% marks (SC/ST: 45% marks or equivalent grade) can apply. 

For general students there is no relaxation so be better in the safer side by having more than 50 percent marks in the academics.

Q:   Can I get admission to Symbiosis Law School, Pune for LLB with 60% in Class 12th?
A:

YES, you can  get admission to Symbiosis Law School, Pune for LLB with 60% in Class 12th.The eligibility criteria for this course is LLB degree from any recognised university/ institution of national importance with a minimum of 50 % marks (45% in case of SC/ST candidates) or equivalent grade.

The selection criteria for LLM is on the basis of performance in the qualifying examination, personal interaction and writing sample.

  • Try to reach the exam centre at or before 7:30 a.m. because it is reporting time for the SLAT 2023 exam. 
  • After reaching the exam centre, cooperate with the personnel involved in the security check and identification of candidates. 
  • Show your SLAT admit card and a photo ID proof authorised by the national or state government to support the security check process. 
  • The SET exam authority will capture your biometric data (photo) for the purpose of identification.
  • You will be provided with a workstation enclosed on three sides. Sit at this workstation to take the test. Do not try to look into the monitors of other candidates because you will be under the surveillance of CCTV cameras. Such behaviour will cancel your SLAT scores. 
  • There will be no locker to keep your electronic devices and other belongings. Thus, do not bring the items prohibited by the exam authority to the exam centre. 
  • There will not be any waiting rooms at the exam centre. Thus, your friends and family members will not be allowed to enter the exam centre. They can wait somewhere outside the exam centre. 
  • Once candidates enter the exam hall, they will not be allowed to take a restroom break. Thus, ensure that you use the restroom before the commencement of the exam if needed.

SLAT 2023 COVID-safety guidelines

Candidates should follow the safety protocols regarding COVID-19 infection to safeguard themselves and other test-takers. For this, they should:

1. Report at the exam centre with all COVID-precautions like face mask/ sheild, hand sanitizers etc.

2. They should maintain safe distance from the test-takers and officials at the centre 

3. They should get thermo-temperature check done, and follow the guidelines from the centre officials strictly

Q:   What is the seat intake for LLB at Symbiosis Law School, Pune?
A:

The total intake is 300 seats, inclusive of 180 seats of BB.A. LL.B Hons and other 120 seats of B.A. LL.B Hons. The seat allocation will be done in the future after the clarification of the exam and all other required steps.

Symbiosis Law School (SLS), Pune offers BA.LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons), LLB at Undergraduate level and LLM at postgraduate level.

The Law School also offers diploma programmes.

Q:   Can I get Symbiosis Law School, Pune LLB with 950 score in SLAT?
A:

First of all it is not a valid score. Generally it is between 50-59.

The candidates appearing for the upcoming SLAT Exam 2023 must check the previous year's cut-off. It is very important as it will help them to understand the exam difficulty level (each year) and the estimation of the SLAT 2023 Expected Cut Off.

4. They can carry only a limited items to reduce COVID-19 infection risk, the items are:

  • Mask
  • Gloves
  • Simple Ball Pen
  • Hand Sanitizer bottle (50 ml)
  • Transparent water bottle
  • Exam-related documents (Hall Ticket & ID proof)

5. Candidates have to follow the guidelines while exiting the exam centres as well.
