MAH MBA CET Eligibility criteria 2026 - The Maharashtra State CET Cell conducts MAH CET, a common entrance exam, for admission to MBA/MMS courses offered by colleges and universities across the state. MAH CET exam is conducted in annually and over 300 colleges and universities including JBIMS, SIMSREE, K J Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research, Prin. LN Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research, Mumbai and PUMBA accept MAH CET score for admission.
There are two phases of MAH CET MBA admission. In the first phase, candidates have to appear for a common entrance test and in the second phase, candidates have to participate in a counselling process called the Centralised Admission Process (CAP). In both the rounds, only those candidates can participate, who meet the MAH MBA CET 2026 eligibility criteria. The minimum eligibility criteria for the first round is graduation whereas for the second round, it is graduation plus more than 0 marks in MBA CET 2026.
MAH MBA CET 2026 will be conducted twice. Candidates have the choice to appear for the exam once or twice. If they appear twice, the best of two scores will be used for CAP 2026 process. Eligibility criteria for both MAH CET attempts is same. Interested candidates can fill the MBA CET 2026 application form from January 10 to February 12, 2026, at the cetcell.mahacet.org website. The fee amount is to be paid per sesssion.

MAH CET Eligibility Criteria for MBA 2026: Academic Qualification
The MBA CET eligibility criteria is determined by the State CET Cell, Maharashtra in accordance to the AICTE guidelines. Given below is the academic qualification required to be eligible for MAH CET 2026:
- Bachelor’s degree of three-year duration in any discipline with at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate or an equivalent degree from a university recognised by University Grants Commission (UGC) or Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
- For candidates from Backward Class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State, the minimum score required is 45 per cent.
- Candidates who have appeared for final year examination of their bachelor’s degree or are awaiting results are also eligible to apply.
MAH CET exam for MBA/MMS admission is a state level entrance test for candidates belonging to Maharashtra State. Since, the exam is conducted by the state government body its score is accepted by colleges and institutions affiliated to state universities only. Thus, one cannot apply for admission with MAH CET score outside Maharashtra.
Yes, candidates applying under All India category can select test cities outside Maharashtra. However, the exam is held in a very limited number of cities outside Maharashtra. Candidates can select from thr following cities only:

MAH CET Eligibility Criteria 2026 for MBA/MMS: Key Points
Before filling up the MAH CET 2026 application form, candidates must make a note of the following points regarding MAH CET 2026 eligibility criteria.
- The aggregate marks is referred to as the grand total of marks obtained by the candidate in their subjects of Bachelor’s Degree.
- In case the candidates are awarded marks in form of grades or CGPA, MAH MBA CET will consider the application after the conversion of grades/CGPA to percentage of marks. The formula/process of conversion would be based on the procedure certified by the institution from where they have obtained the Bachelor's Degree.
- As per the MAH CET MBA eligibility criteria, the percentage of marks will be rounded off to two places after decimal.
- Candidates seeking relaxation of mark in Bachelor’s Degree under Reserved category (SC, VJ/DT (NT (A)), NT (B), NT(C), NT (D), OBC SBC and SEBC categories), are required to should produce “Caste Validity Certificate” issued by Scrutiny Committee of Social Welfare Department.
- Similarly, candidate belonging to ST category are required to submit “Tribe Validity Certificate” issued by Scrutiny Committee of Tribal Department and valid Non Creamy Layer certificate except SC, ST candidates. These documents are to be presented at the time of verification of documents, failing which the candidature will be cancelled.

The cutoff for MET Institute of Management has not been released for 2026. However, the students can check previous year cutoff data on website. MET Institute of Management accepts MAH CET exam for admissions into the MMS course.

They must have also scored more than zero score in MAH CET/XAT/MAT/ATMA/GMAT/CAT/CMAT. NRI/OCI/PIO Foreign National, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries: The candidate should have passed minimum three-year duration Bachelor's Degree with 50 per cent marks or equivalent, awarded by the University recognized by the UGC or AIU. Any other criterion declared from time to time by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra as defined under the ACT.
