How many mock tests to be solved and when?
It might sound a little surprising but it is a true proven fact. Many SNAP toppers are of the view that SNAP preparation time of even a month is good enough to crack the exam. If you study effectively with the right study material, even a week is sufficient to score 95 percentile provided you are sincere enough. All you need to do is focus more on exam quizzes and mock tests. Remember to solve a mock test every day but never fail to leave any mock test without analysing it. Confront your weaker topics and focus more on those so that you attempt the SNAP test with flying colours.

What is the minimum number of questions to be attempted in the exam?
The marking pattern is quite simple wherein you are with awarded 1.5 marks on each correct answer from the first two sections and a +1 for the third section. And each wrong answer attracts 25 percent negative marks for normal and special questions.
There is no hard and fast rule of attempting maximum questions as long as you are solving them correctly. However, as per the study, candidates who attempt around 80 questions with 85-90 percent accuracy are expected to clear the cut-offs. So, try structuring your question paper in the right way so that you attempt maximum correct questions within the stipulated time.
What are the common mistakes to be on the watch out for?
Try taking a sound sleep of at least six hours before you reach the examination center so that you do not overstress while attempting the test. Do not forget to carry the mandatory things like your photo id and your admit card to the examination center. Cross verify by making a checklist so that you minimize the unnecessary chaos. Also, do not waste your time solving those questions which are from the topic you haven’t covered. Be smart and attempt the test in a structured way.
How can you maximise your score?
This year you have a golden chance to improve your SNAP scores as GK/Current Affairs section is no longer there in the exam. So basically you have to deal with 3 sections. You can begin with solving the analytical and logical reasoning questions as you enter the examination hall with a fresh and affirmative mind. Do not waste much of your time solving the ones you find difficult as this would lower down your confidence. End your test with the general English test. As you have the leverage to jump across sections anytime, with no sectional time limit, try switching between the sections at repeated intervals so that you do not struggle with the monotony.
So, now when you have everything in your mind and boosted up with all the prep tips and confidence, go ahead and perform your best.

SNAP candidates are not required to apply separately for all SIU campuses. They can select colleges in the SNAP application form. However, they need to fill the PI-shortlist form separately for whichever colleges they get shortlisted.

Between SNAP and NMAT, the former is considered easier in terms of difficulty level of the questions. However, SNAP is of 60 minutes in which candidates have to address 60 question. This makes SNAP more challenging than NMAT which is a test of longer duration (2 hours having 108 questions).

Usually it is recommended that Arun Sharma series (Verbal, Quant, DI), R.S. Aggarwal's Reasoning/Quant books, and Word Power Made Easy, are enough for SNAP preparation. Sample questions papers, mock tests, sectional test series are also important.

Two months may not be enough to prepare for SNAP exam, if you are attempting it for the first time. However, you can try with a very specific and focussed plan. Check SNAP question papers of previous years to know dominant subjects. Study only those thoroughly and practice mock tests side by side.
