CAT Exam Tip #1
You have to solve all mock test papers that you may get from the coaching classes and also the Internet. Try solving at least the last five years’ question papers so that you can get a rough idea that how to solve questions, compare your answers with the solutions. If your score is not up to the mark, then don't stop, just keep solving test papers, until you think you have got it right.
CAT Exam Tip #2
Here are some section-wise points you must know about a minimum number of question you must attempt.
In verbal ability, you have to focus on attempting 30 to 32 out of 34 questions because the accuracy in verbal ability is almost low for everyone, so more attempts would mean more marks.
In data interpretation and logical reasoning, in this section of 32 questions, you must solve at least 25. You should solve questions paper from 2000 to 2018 as maximum times questions are the same just numbers change. Solve question papers by putting a timer on to know your speed and to get an idea that how much time you have to give for which type of questions.
In quantitative ability, you can solve 18-19 questions out of 34 easily by using common sense.
By solving these many questions you can score a good percentile.
CAT Exam Tip #3
A common mistake that everyone makes is that they keep learning new topics before even five days before the exam when time is very less. If you left some topics don’t worry. Revise all the topics that you learned, solve mock tests so you can get to know that for which section how to solve by using which logic and from which different perspective you have to solve the paper.
