One should be able to control the pressure which the interviewer put on him/her. They should be able to keep the smile on the face and maintain the calm.

Following are the key factors of GD-

  1. One doesn’t need to use flowery vocabulary to impress the interviewer. Use simple English to say whatever you want. You should be able to make the interviewer understand what you want to say.
  2. It is better if you are frequent with some questions like - “Say something about yourself”, “Why MBA?”, “Why our college?” One should be really crisp in their answers regarding such common questions.
  3. One should be honest but one should not share any experience which will go against him/her.
  4. One should know about the basics of the background he/she belongs to.
  5. Posture during the interview should also be taken care of. One should not look dull or inactive during the interview.
  6. One should be able to control the pressure which the interviewer put on him/her. They should be able to keep the smile on the face and maintain the calm.
  7. 2 panelists take the interview for the evaluation process.
  8. If you belong to the same university, meaning if you have done your graduation or any other course from KIIT University itself, you must know the names and designation of the persons posted in the highest positions of the college and KSOM.
  9. Be confident with your answers. If you have any hint of the answer regarding any question they ask, say it confidently. Don’t blabber.
  10. If you don’t know any answer, simply inform them by saying- “I have no idea regarding this now. But I will surely want to know about the answer.”
  11. Wear formals for GD & PI. Look smart. Wear proper formal and polished shoes.
  12. Don’t forget to wish them ‘Good Morning’ or ‘Good Afternoon’ when you enter the room. First impression is the last impression. And students tend to forget this basic etiquette. Also, wish them ‘Thank you’, while leaving the room.
  13. Don’t hesitate to talk about your weaknesses. Many try to hide their weaknesses but the interviewers are experienced enough to crack that down.
  14. In case you are asked about any other college you have considered for admission, you should respond with- “I have not decided my final answer yet but this college will always be my first option.”

Considering the importance given to GD and PI, most of the weightage is given to GD & PI, other than KIITEE Entrance rank or percentile of any other entrance exams. Moreover, some weightage is also given to 10th and 12th marks. Moreover, it should be kept in mind that both the process takes place on the same day.
