Tummala Snikitha is among the top ten candidates who have proven their mettle in the NEET 2020 exam. By scoring 715 marks out of 720 with a percentile of 99.9995611, Tummala Snikitha from Telangana has bagged All India Rank (AIR) 3 in NEET 2020. NEET result was announced by the NTA on October 16, 2020. The young girl who aspires to take admission in the prestigious and the top medical institute of the country, AIIMS New Delhi, is happy and completely satisfied with the result.
Hailing from a decent and educated family, Tummala's parents are also Doctors. This NEET exam topper, who has secured AIR 3, said that she didn't deviate herself from her goal and kept focusing on the preparations.

Question: Congratulations on your NEET result! How are your feelings on this achievement?
Tummala: I am happy and excited when I saw my result. I am looking forward to make my career in medicine.
Question: What motivated you to choose medicine as a career? When did you decide to become a doctor?
Tummala: My parents are also doctors and they motivated me towards the field of medicine. I decided to become a doctor two years back.
Question: When did you start your preparations for the NEET exam? How did you go about it? Was this your first attempt?
Tummala: I started preparing for NEET 2020 two years back. I took coaching for NEET and it was my first attempt.
Question: As you said, you took coaching for NEET 2020, which coaching classes helped you crack the exam?
Tummala: I took coaching from Sri Chaitanya and they helped me to clear my doubts at any time.
Question: What was your routine for NEET 2020 before and after the lockdown? How much time did you devote to self-study?
Tummala: It was almost the same, except before lockdown, I used to attend classes in my college and then came back home and study for 8 to 9 hours. And after lockdown, I used to study at home and took online classes.
Question: The lockdown was announced in March and things changed. How did you prepare for NEET 2020 during COVID-19?
Tummala: The lockdown actually did not affect my preparations, as I had already completed my syllabus before the lockdown was announced. I did not let my focus shift to anywhere else.
Question: Which one is your strong subject and which one is your weak one?
Tummala: I have a strong hold on all the three subjects, Physics, Chemistry and Biology and have devoted equal time to each one of them.
Question: What was your exam day strategy?
Tummala: In NEET 2020 exam, I first completed my Biology paper, since it carries more number of questions and then Chemistry and Physics.
Question: Which college is your dream college for studying medicine? What is your aspiration in the field of medicine and which specialisation would you be interested in?
Tummala: My dream medical college is AIIMS, New Delhi. I am still exploring this field and is not sure about the specialisation I will be doing my PG to progress my career.
Question: Tell us something about your family’s role in supporting you and motivating you during this stressful lockdown period? What you used to do to de-stress while preparing for NEET 2020?
Tummala: My parents have been extremely supportive throughout my NEET preparation journey. I used to take a nap or talk to my parents and friends to de-stress myself.
Question: What would you suggest to future NEET aspirants in terms of preparation, attitude, etc?
Tummala: Keep your focus tight and work hard towards your goals.
