Q:   Why has NTA released NEET 2025 result twice?
A:

The NEET 2025 result was originally released on June 14, 2025. The results for candidates who were affected due to a power cut at the exam centres were withheld. These candidates had filed a petition at the MP High Court demanding a retest. As per the verdict dated July 14, 2025, the Division Bench of the MP High Court ruled out the re-test request, but asked NTA to release the scorecards for the petitioners or the withheld candidates. Accordingly, NTA released the NEET 2025 scorecard for these candidates on July 15, 2025.

Q:   I could not qualify NEET. Can I still download my NEET result?
A:
Yes, you will still be able to download the result of NEET by logging in to the official exam website. The scorecard will consist of information such as subject-wise and overall scores, percentiles and All India Rank, along with the qualifying cutoff or marks. In case a candidate does not qualify for NEET then he/she would not be able to participate in the counselling process. However, they may take admission to other courses conducting admission through NEET scores, for which counselling process is not conducted.
Q:   Can I get a duplicate copy of my NEET scorecard?
A:

Since the NEET scorecards are released by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the exam conducting body, in an online mode, it can be accessed and downloaded anytime by the test-takers. Once the NEET result is declared, candidates will have to download the NEET scorecard by logging in with their registration credentials and take multiple printouts. They are also advised to save the NEET scorecard PDF softcopy in their computer systems or mobile phones for easy access. In case they lose the hardcopy or even the softcopy of the NEET scorecard, they can visit the NEET website, click on the Download NEET-UG Scorecard tab from the latest News section and download it by entering the NEET application number, date of birth and security pin. The validity of the NEET scorecard is one year. Hence, candidates will be able to download the NEET scorecard PDF as many times they wish to within this period.

NEET 2025 Difficulty Level

When asked about the NEET 2025 difficulty level as perceived by the test-takers, the majority of the voters opted for the option ‘Very Tough’, which is 62 per cent. The second highest votes have been given to the option ‘Tough’, followed by ‘Moderate’ and ‘Easy’ respectively.

The snapshot below shows the poll question ‘What was the difficulty level of NEET 2025’ along with the answer options and the poll percentages.

Based on the NEET 2025 analysis, experts have opined that this year the difficulty level of NEET 2025 was exceptionally tough. The question types were also trickier and mostly numerical-based, for the Physics section. Even in the other two sections, the theory-based questions were not direct, but were application-based. Questions were not asked from a single topic, but were a combination of multiple topics, which only students with a strong conceptual clarity and knowledge would be able to solve accurately. That is why experts are predicting low chance of the highest score of NEET 2025 being 720, and vis-à-vis a lower NEET 2025 cutoff than last year.

Q:   What is the difference between NEET scorecard and NEET merit list?
A:
NEET scorecard is an individual document which carries information regarding candidates' obtained scores, percentiles and ranks. On the other hand, merit list is a common document which consists of the list of test takers along with their scores and ranks. Both the documents are prepared by NTA the exam conducting body. The NEET scorecard is issued only to candidates who can download it by logging in through their registration credentials and nobody else can access it. NEET merit list, on the other hand, is released publicly and includes the All India Rank list of candidates along with their obtained scores, percentiles and state.
Q:   What is the validity of the NEET scorecard?
A:

NEET score card is valid for admission to the current academic session only. NEET 2025 result cannot be carried forward for admission to the 2026-27 academic session. Hence, in case a candidate fails to qualify for NEET 2025 or unable to take admission in that academic year, then they have to appear for NEET next year and seek admission. Beyond a year, the NEET scorecard will just be another document or a record to prove the appearance in NEET.

Q:   What is the NEET 2025 result date?
A:

The National Testing Agency announced the NEET 2025 result on June 14, 2025. The NEET 2025 final answer key was released on the same date. Last year, the date of NEET result declaration was June 14, but the result was announced 10 days in advance, on June 4, 2024.

The NEET 2025 exam was held on May 4, 2025, for around 21 lakh candidates. NTA will release the official NEET 2025 provisional answer key and OMR sheets by the fourth week of May 2025. The NEET 2025 result is scheduled to be declared by June 14, 2025.
