Last Minute Preparation Tips for NEET 2026

The following tips will guide you to plan the last few days of preparation properly without getting confused about any aspect. Read on to know more and plan accordingly without wasting any more time as the clock is ticking faster than ever now!

NEET 2026 Last-Minute Preparation Tip #01: Health is Wealth

A healthy body is a platform for flourishing a healthy mind.

As you are occupied with a plethora of activities such as studying for long hours, attending school/coaching classes, taking mock tests and analysing those, etc. You need to balance the preparation phase with all those activities. We know that studies are important, it is also important to take proper care of your health. Do not miss meals or sleep during the preparation phase, especially in the last few days before NEET 2024.

NEET 2026 Last-Minute Preparation Tip #02: Refrain from Starting New Topics

The syllabus of NEET 2026 is huge which makes it impossible to read everything from the prescribed NEET exam books. So, unless you have missed an important chapter, refrain from starting anything new during these last few days. Apart from studying to complete a new chapter, you will also have to make notes and solve relevant questions from various question banks. This process is time taking, and time is something that students don’t have. If they have to start something new, then they must make sure to pick the right book and not spend days on a single chapter.

NEET 2026 Last-Minute Preparation Tip #03: Formula, Diagrams, Tables and Graphs

Information that is presented in the form of graphs, tables, diagrams, etc. is concise and easy to remember. You can cover a lot more with the help of these. Similarly, flow charts and diagrams can help retain the steps of any process. For the topics you find difficult to memorise, you should put up charts of important formulae, tables, flowcharts, etc. and revise these every day till the day of the exam.

NEET 2026 Last-Minute Preparation Tip #04: Revision

You must have studied every chapter before the examination, but everything is futile if you are unable to recollect this information on exam day. It is thus important to revise before the examination. The last few days before the examination should be a mix of using NEET revision, doubt-solving and taking NEET mock tests.

NEET 2026 Last-Minute Preparation Tip #05: A Little Bit of Everything

When you prepare a timetable for this phase of NEET preparation, make sure that you study at least two subjects in a day. This will help break monotony during the long study hours and will also ensure that you revise topics from all subjects.

NEET 2026 Last-Minute Preparation Tip #06: Maintain Consistency

If you reach a point where you feel that you are thorough with everything and you want to take  a break from study for a few days; try to skip the thought. In last few months of preparation, you have developed the habit of studying for hours. If you stop this, you will not be able to focus when you start again. Do remember that revising a part of your daily routine will help retain the information better. However, you can reduce the number of hours that you spend on revision for a few days.

NEET 2026 Last-Minute Preparation Tip #07: Cement the gap

When you are solving mock tests and sample papers, you may find some questions from topics that are a part of the syllabus but they were not in the book. There will also be some numerical questions that you do not understand. Right now, you should focus on such questions and fix these issues by taking the help of mentors and seniors.

NEET 2026 Last-Minute Preparation Tip #08: Mock tests

The average frequency of solving mock tests for most NEET aspirants is twice or thrice a week. However, during the last few days before the examination, it is advised that you do not take any mock tests. Rather, go through the mock tests taken earlier and decide the exam-taking strategy accordingly. This would also help them be aware of the persistent mistakes and avoid them on exam day.

NEET 2026 Last-Minute Preparation Tip #09: Know exam-taking instructions

NTA releases instructions to explain new exam pattern and OMR sheet-filling instructions. There will be a total of 180 NEET questions that you should solve in 180 minutes as per NEET 2026 exam pattern. Do not waste your time and select questions carefully to answer more questions correctly.

NEET 2026 Last-Minute Preparation Tip #10: Believe in Yourself

The last few days are often spent in panic. Not believing in their preparation and doubting whether they remember everything that has been read in the past few months will not help candidates at this point. The key to staying calm in the last few days of NEET 2026 preparation is to believe in oneself. Have faith in the hard work that they have put in and not go on a self-doubt spree.

In order to maintain an exam-like attitude before the NEET, do a small number of prior year questions, but do not do any full-length mock examinations during this period. Get plenty of sleep, eat lightly, and keep your mind calm. Have confidence in your own preparation. A calm mind performs better, so trust yourself. You will do well on the NEET. Good luck!

No, students do not need to apply separately for MBBS admission at AIIMS Rishikesh after NEET exam. The seats are allocated through the NEET exam + NEET Counselling. Interested students simply have to pick AIIMS Rishikesh while filling the preference list during counselling.

AIIMS Rishikesh admissions are highly competitive. With a score of 650 in NEET, students may have a chance of getting seat. The admission chances depend on the cutoff, paper's difficulty, and student's category. For the general category, 650 is a decent score but admission is not guaranteed.
