VCI 2026 Counselling will be conducted for admission to the Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) programme through the NEET UG 2026 merit list. NEET counselling seat matrix refers to the number of seats offered across the participating institutes for each course. The seat matrix is released by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) before the commencement of the counselling process. The seat matrix is released in institute-wise categories for the types of institutes, such as Deemed universities, AIIMS & JIPMER, etc. For NEET 2025 counselling, the primary seat matrix released by MCC for Round 1 was of for Deemed University, Central University, BSc Nursing and AIQ seats. After that, for the second and third rounds, MCC releases the list of newly added seats along with the clear vacancy and virtual vacancy.
The MCC conducts around 4 to 5 rounds for NEET UG Counselling process for MBBS, BDS, BHMS and other seats. The rounds of NEET counselling depends on seat matrix and number of vacant seats.
There are around four to five rounds of the Karnataka NEET Counselling for admissions to medical, dental, AYUSH and other undergraduate medical courses. The counselling rounds depend on the number of vacanct seats.
The NEET counselling registration fee varies for different candidate categories. For the AIQ seats and Central Universities, the fee for the General category candidates is INR 1,000 and for the SC, ST, OBC and PwD category candidates, the fee is INR 500. For participating in the NEET counselling process for Deemed Universities, the registration fee for all category candidates is INR 5,000. The registration fee is non-refundable. On the other hand, candidates will have to pay the tuition fee which is refundable. The amount for the General category candidates for the AIQ seats and Central Universities is INR 10,000. For the reserved category candidates, the amount is INR 5,000. For Deemed Universities, the tuition fee to be paid by all category candidates is INR 2,00,000. Those who would not be allotted a seat after the NEET counselling process will be refunded the tuition fee after the conclusion of the counselling rounds.

VCI Counselling 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates are expected to fulfil the eligibility conditions prescribed by VCI and the applicable B.V.Sc. & A.H. regulations. The major requirements include:
- Candidate should be an Indian national.
- Students must qualify NEET UG 2026.
- Minimum and maximum age requirements must be fulfilled.
- Required Class 12 or equivalent academic criteria.

VCI Counselling 2026 Choice Filling
VCI counselling 2026 choice filling is an important part of the counselling process because seats are allotted according to candidate merit, preferences, category and seat availability.
Candidates should prepare a list of preferred colleges before choice filling begins. Check location, fee structure, facilities and other details of a college before adding it to their choices.
In the previous counselling process, candidates allotted a seat in Round 1 and reporting within deadline could get an opportunity to participate in next round for an upgrade. Candidates who failed to report after allotment could lose eligibility for next rounds.
VCI Seat Allotment 2026
The VCI seat allotment result is expected to be prepared using the NEET UG merit/rank, candidate preferences, category, availability of seats and applicable reservation rules.
The 2025-26 VCI bulletin specified reservation under the 15% All India Quota as follows:

The NEET UG Counselling 2026 round 3 registration began on September 22, 2026, at mcc.nic.in.
After online registration for NEET counselling process, candidates will have to fill in choice of Institutions/colleges/courses in order of their preference. Once the choice is filled in, it can be modified before locking it. During the choice locking period, it is necessary to lock the choices to get a printout of the submitted choices. If a candidate does not lock the choice submitted by him/her, it will be automatically locked as per schedule. In case they don't register and fill in choices during registration period, they will not be allotted any seat. NEET counselling registration will be available before the first three rounds of counselling, and not before the Stray Vacancy Round.
Candidates who have been allotted seats at the end of a round of NEET counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) need to bring their original certificates at the time of reporting. Candidates who have deposited their original documents with any other Institute/College/University and come for admission with a certificate stating that "their original certificates are deposited with the Institute /College/University" will not be allowed to take admission in allotted Medical/Dental College. Hence, they must ensure that the original as well as the photocopies of the important documents are carried to the allotted institutes. In case of the documents, they must retrieve those, or request to issue a duplicate copy from the concerned authorities.
VCI Counselling 2026 Fees
The counselling fee for 2026 has not yet been announced. As a reference, the 2025-26 VCI bulletin prescribed a registration fee of Rs 1,000 for General candidates, Rs 900 for EWS/OBC candidates and Rs 500 for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender candidates for the first two rounds.
The previous bulletin also prescribed a separate Stray Round participation fee of Rs 50,000 for General/OBC/EWS/PIO candidates and Rs 25,000 for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender candidates. These amounts should be treated only as previous-year figures, not confirmed VCI Counselling 2026 fees.Candidates should wait for the official notification for the VCI counselling 2026 fee before making any payment.

Candidates should keep the following documents ready, subject to the requirements mentioned in the 2026 notification:

Not always. While NEET is common, several Karnataka colleges also accept KCET scores, and some even offer direct admission based on 12th marks.
