The registration for admission in NIOS 10th and NIOS 12th courses for 2021-22 session will start from April 1, 2021. The Examination for these learners will be conducted in April 2022, as per the latest information by NIOS. Interested candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria in order to register for NIOS 10th and 12th. There is no upper limit for NIOS Admissions 2021-22. However, candidates must be a minimum of 14 years of age for NIOS Class 10 Admissions, while they need to be at least 15 years old for NIOS Class 12 Admission. Interested and eligible candidates must visit the official website of NIOS to register themselves from April 1.

NIOS Admissions: How to Apply

All the aspirants must follow the steps mentioned below to register for NIOS:

  1. Visit the admission portal of NIOS- sdmis.nios.ac.in/
  2. Read all the instructions carefully
  3. Click on 'Register'.
  4. Fill in all the details as required
  5. Upload all the supporting documents
  6. Pay the required fee
  7. Save your form for future references

NIOS Class 10, 12 Admissions: Documents Required

  • Recent Passport size coloured photograph
  • Signature (preferably in Black Ink)
  • Valid identity proof (like Aadhaar Card or Passport or Ration card or etc.)
  • Valid proof of Date of Birth (like Aadhaar Card with the date of birth printed on it in the dd/mm/yyyy format, Birth Certificate etc.)
  • A valid proof of Residence (like Aadhaar Card with complete address printed on it, valid Passport etc.).
  • Address proof i.e. Aadhaar Card/Water Bill/Electricity Bill/Voter ID/Ration Card/Indian
  • Passport/Statement of Operational Bank Account/Appointment Letter from the Employer on Printed Letter Head, if living in rented accommodation - a copy of any proof of permanent address along with present Rented Agreement
  • Class 10th marksheet (in case of senior secondary course)
  • Social category/Caste certificate (in case the learner belongs to SC/ST/OBC social category).o Ex-serviceman certificate (in case he/she is an Ex-serviceman)
  • Disability certificate (in case he/she is having any kind of disability)
  • Fail Mark sheet of previous Board, if any
