Commonly asked questions
Q:   How do you find the percentage of Tamil Nadu 12th result 2026?
A:

Many students are unable to calculate the percentage of marks obtained in Tamil Nadu 12th exams. Therefore, they can follow the steps below to calculate their percentage:

Step 1: Divide the obtained marks by the maximum marks

Step 2: Multiply the result by 100

Go through the example given below to understand the process of finding the percentage of marks.

Example 1: A student scored 1156 marks in the examination out of 1200 marks. Calculate the percentage of marks secured by the student. Go through the example given below to understand the process of finding the percentage of marks.

Solution:

Number of marks scored = 1156

Maximum marks = 1200

Percentage of marks= Marks obtained/Maximum marks x 100

Percentage of marks = (1156/1200) × 100

Percentage= 0.9633…. × 100

Therefore, the percentage of marks obtained is 96.3%

Q:   When a student drops one year, what is the syllabus applicable for the following Class 12 board exam of next year?
A:

The student has to appear in the syllabus prescribed for the year in which he or she plans to appear for the Class 12 exam. Students are advised to go through the syllabus of their board for that academic year. They can check the syllabus on the official website of their board. They can also contact their school, for the Class 12 syllabus.

Q:   What happens if we paste money in the TN 12th board exam?
A:

Pasting money on a board exam paper would be considered an act of academic misconduct, specifically cheating. If a student is caught cheating during an exam, they could face serious consequences such as failing the exam, failing the entire course, or being expelled from school.

Q:   Is Tamil Nadu Class 12th Board exam checking strict?
A:

For TN Class 12th, it is considered to be strict. However, it is said that the checking done by evaluators is linient in comparison to the checking done by them in Class 9, 11 in their schools.
