TS Inter 2nd Year English Exam 2025 Controversy

TS inter English Exam 2025: The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has announced its decision to award full marks to all students who attempted question number 7 in the TS Intermediate 2nd year English public exam 2025. The Board conducted the TS Inter English Exam 2025 on March 10. The decision follows student representations regarding discrepancies in the question, particularly related to a pie chart.

TS Inter English Exam Controversy 2025

The Telangana State Intermediate Public Examinations (IPE) for the academic year 2025 began on March 6, with the English II exam being conducted on the second day, March 7. Over 9.96 lakh students are appearing for the TSBIE Telangana Intermediate exams across 1,532 centres, with the English II exam scheduled from 9 am to 12 noon.

Some students raised concerns about the "inaccuracies" in question number 7 of the TS 2nd year English question paper. Specifically, the issue related to the pie chart that was presented in the question, leading to confusion among examinees.

TSBIE's Decision after Discussions with Experts

Upon receiving complaints, the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education immediately initiated a discussion with subject experts to assess the situation. After a thorough evaluation, the board decided that awarding full marks for question number 7 to all students who attempted the question would be the fairest solution. This decision ensures that no student will be at a disadvantage due to any inconsistencies in the printed question paper.

In an official statement, the TSBIE confirmed the move, highlighting their commitment to fairness and transparency in the examination process. The statement read, "In the interest of fairness and ensuring that students are not at a disadvantage due to printing inconsistencies, the Board has decided to award full marks for the respective question to all students who attempted to answer it in the answer sheet."

Commitment to Transparent and Fair Examination Process

The Secretary of the Telangana Board further reiterated the board’s commitment to conducting examinations transparently. He emphasized that no student should be penalized for unforeseen errors that may have impacted their ability to answer the question correctly. "TGBIE remains committed to conducting examinations transparently and ensuring that no student is disadvantaged due to unforeseen errors," the secretary added.
