Youth Ideathon 2024, school-level Innovation and Entrepreneurship festival aims to foster creativity and entrepreneurial spirit among young students across India.
Youth Ideathon 2024: Management Entrepreneurship Professional Skills Council (MEPSC) under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and ThinkStartup in association with Central Board for Secondary Education (CBSE), has announced the commencement of the 4th edition of Youth Ideathon (YI24). This school-level Innovation and Entrepreneurship festival aims to foster creativity and entrepreneurial spirit among young students across India.
Event Details and Participation
The theme for Youth Ideathon 2024 is "iStartup a Good Thing for India." The competition will unfold in five stages, beginning with online rounds and culminating in a grand finale scheduled for October 6, 2024. It is open to all school students in two categories: Junior (Class 4 to Class 8) and Senior (Class 9 to Class 12). Teams comprising 3 to 5 members from the same school will vie for top honors.
Last year, Youth Ideathon attracted over 1.5 lakh students from more than 8000 schools, and this year, organizers anticipate participation to exceed 2 lakh students across ten thousand schools.
Government and Industry Support
Dr. Biswajit Saha, Director (Skill Education & Training), CBSE, Ministry of Education, Government of India, emphasized the program's alignment with the New Education Policy 2020, aimed at fostering entrepreneurial thinking among students.
Mamta Kumari, Deputy General Manager at SIDBI, highlighted the initiative's role in nurturing entrepreneurship among youth and providing practical experience through internships in diverse fields.

Shivani Singh-Kapoor, Co-founder of ThinkStartup, stressed the importance of nurturing creativity and entrepreneurial skills from a young age to cultivate future job creators.
Industry partners such as Esri India and MediaTek expressed their commitment to fostering innovation and sustainable development by supporting Youth Ideathon 2024.
Frugal Startup Challenge and Awards
Sanjeeva Shivesh, Program Director of Youth Ideathon, introduced an exciting element this year: a frugal startup challenge offering INR 1000 cash to Top 500 teams to develop prototypes or small ventures, encouraging students to channel their creativity effectively.
Empowering Women Entrepreneurs
Youth Ideathon 2024 is also supported by SheAtWork and BRICS CCI WE, aiming to promote gender equality and empower women entrepreneurs through innovative initiatives.
Recognition and Grants
CBSE released the CBSE 10th date sheet 2026 for Phase 1 exams on September 24, 2025. The date sheet is released on the official website- cbse.nic.in. The Phase 1 CBSE 10th exams 2026 will be held between February 17 and March 9, 2026 in pen and paper format. CBSE 10th phase 2 exams will be held between May 15 and June 1, 2026. The CBSE date sheet 2026 mentions the exam days, dates and timings for all subjects. Students must download and take a printout of the CBSE 10th date sheet 2026 and keep it secure with them to refer it till their exams get over.
CBSE is conducting the CBSE Class 10 exams 2025 between February 15 and March 18, 2025. The exams are held in pen and paper format. Students can click on CBSE 10th date sheet 2025 to check the detailed exam time table.
Before the exams commence, students must finish their syllabus and know the exam pattern. They must also solve and analyse CBSE 10th previous years question papers and sample papers 2025 to know the types of questions that can be asked in the exam.
Participants will receive certificates, and top teams stand a chance to win incubation grants up to INR 100,000. The event also acknowledges teachers, mentors, and schools with high participation rates.
