NIRF 2025 Rankings are out. As per the latest NIRF 2025 rankings, IIT Delhi ranks #2 under the 'Engineering' category.

The GATE 2026 exam for admission to ME/MTech and PhD courses has concluded. Results are scheduled for release on Mar 19, 2026.

IIT Delhi admissions are open. Other latest updates are below:

The JEE Advanced 2026 application form is expected to be released in April 2026, and the examination will be conducted on May 17, 2026.
The JEE Main 2026 registrations for session 2 started for IIT Delhi admission to the BTech, BArch and BPlan courses. The last date to register for the same is Feb 25, 2026. Further, the session 2 exams will be conducted from Apr 2 to Apr 9, 2026.
The UCEED 2026 results will be published on the official website for BDes course on Mar 6, 2026.
The IIT JAM 2026 exam is now over for admission to the MSc course, with the results expected to be announced on Mar 20, 2026.
For MBA 2026, the applications are closed, and the personal interview will be held from Mar 9 to Mar 13, 2026.

IIT Delhi Highlights 2026

IIT Delhi is a government institute and was established in 1961. It is also known as Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and was also declared as Institution of National Importance. The institute has been ranked 4 under the 'Overall' category and 2 under the 'Engineering' category by the NIRF Ranking 2025. IIT Delhi is planning to open its campus in Abu Dhabi. It is the first step taken towards internationalising India’s education. The insitute also arranges a variety of events for students ranging from seminars, conferences, fests, and others.

Indian Institute of Technology courses are offered to students at the UG and PG levels. The popular programmes offered at IIT Delhi are BTech and MTech. These courses are offered to students in full-time mode and across several specialisations. Some other courses offered at IIT Delhi are BDes, MA, MBA, MSc, etc. In addition, the institute has a decent placement cell.

According to the press report of April 17, 2025 released by IIT Delhi Delhi, UG students of the Institute have secured 850 unique offers during the placement drive 2025. The number of unique offer this year has increased as compared with previous three years. Core (Technical) sector emerged as the top recruiting sector that placed 34% of the total students during IIT Delhi placement 2025. IIT Delhi Admission Process and Important Dates 2026

The mode of Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) admission is online. For IIT admission Delhi to various courses is based on merit and entrance exam scores. The accepted entrance exams are JEE Main, JEE Advanced, and others. Candidates willing to get admission to various courses must apply online on the official website.
