IIT Delhi Collaboration with EXL

The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) has partnered with EXL to promote financial and digital literacy among micro-level women entrepreneurs. This collaboration aims to empower over 500 women members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) across North India. After launching the initiative, a three-day workshop was held at IIT Delhi to provide participants with practical skills and knowledge to navigate the digital economy. More than 100 women entrepreneurs took part in the workshop.

This partnership is in line with EXL's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program and is being carried out in six states: Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and Rajasthan. The initiative is set to benefit over 500 women, with key support from National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM) and National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) officers at the state and district levels, who have played a crucial role in organizing the workshops.

This collaborative effort has culminated in a self-learning guide for micro-level women entrepreneurs. Besides, the workshop emphasizes a hands-on approach, featuring product showcases and interactive sessions that enable participants to translate theoretical learning into practical business applications.

Prof. Seema Sharma, PI of the project and professor at the Department of Management Studies of IIT Delhi, emphasized the transformative potential of the project, saying, "We are confident that this collaborative effort will create a ripple effect, leading to greater economic empowerment for women across India."
