IIT Delhi launches Advance Certification in Web 3.0, Social Media and Metaverse

IIT Delhi has launched an certificate programme titled "Advance Certification in Web 3.0, Social Media and Metaverse". The last date to apply is October 11, 2023.

Continuing Education Programme, at IIT Delhi, has launched an online certificate programme titled "Advance Certification in Web 3.0, Social Media and Metaverse". The deadline to apply for the programme is October 11, 2023.

This programme will assist you with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the rapidly changing digital landscape. It will also help the students to position themselves for a successful career in Web 3.0, Social Media and Metaverse.

IIT Delhi’s Advanced Certification in Web 3.0, Social Media and Metaverse (ACPWSMM) explores the convergence of these three powerful technologies. 

"Gain invaluable insights into how Web 3.0 is revolutionising the internet, social media is empowering social interaction and the emerging Metaverse is creating digital experiences. Acquire the essential knowledge and tech-skills needed to excel and position yourself for successful careers in the emerging fields of Web 3.0, Social Media and Metaverse," reads the official notification.

Professor Arpan Kumar Kar, Chair Professor & Professor, Department of Management Studies & School of Artificial Intelligence, IIT Delhi, said “In today's competitive market, knowledge of Web 3.0 is essential to comprehend the future of the internet. It creates career prospects in blockchain and decentralised systems while empowering individuals with data privacy and driving innovation. Social media platforms play a crucial role in communication, connecting people and businesses. Understanding their functioning enhances personal and professional leverage. Technologies like VR and AR are poised to revolutionise the digital landscape, offering immersive experiences in the Metaverse. By exploring these technologies, individuals gain insights into the potential for transformative interactions and experiences.”

Who should attend IIT Delhi's Advance Certification in Web 3.0, Social Media and Metaverse

The programme targets the following candidates:

• Graduates from any background seeking a career in the Web 3.0, Social Media, or Metaverse domains
• Professionals in the software and IT industry seeking to gain Web 3.0 or Metaverse expertise to apply it in their respective fields.

The programme will start on October 29, 2023, and classes will on alternate weekends (either Saturday or Sunday). The fee is INR 1,70,000 + GST @18% , which is INR 30,600. The total fees will be INR 2,00,600.
