IIT Delhi Launches PG Diploma in Healthcare Product Development and Management

IIT Delhi has launched a Postgraduate Diploma in Healthcare Product Development and Management to equip professionals with the skills needed to drive innovation and leadership in the healthcare sector.

IITD PG Diploma in Healthcare Product Development and Management

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has launched the first edition of its Online Postgraduate Diploma in Healthcare Product Development and Management. This intensive 12-month programme, offered by the Centre for Biomedical Engineering, a joint initiative of IIT Delhi and AIIMS Delhi is designed to equip professionals with the technical knowledge and multidisciplinary skills required to design, develop, and commercialize innovative healthcare solutions.

About PG Diploma in Healthcare Product Development and Management

At the core of this programme is a thoughtfully integrated curriculum that spans biomedical innovation, regulatory science, product lifecycle management, and commercial strategy providing learners with a holistic, application-driven education. Delivered through live, interactive online sessions by IIT Delhi’s esteemed faculty, in collaboration with leading doctors and industry experts, the programme offers an immersive learning experience. Participants will engage in dynamic pedagogies including real-time simulations, case-based discussions, and hands-on projects. An optional two-day campus immersion further enhances opportunities for academic exchange and professional networking.

The 18-credit curriculum features both foundational and advanced modules such as Biofabrication, Soft Tissue Characterisation, Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare Wearables Design, and Entrepreneurship & Management in Healthcare. Learners will gain practical exposure to tools like Pick 3D Printer, AutoCAD, Arduino, UX/UI platforms, and AIML communities, culminating in capstone projects focused on developing scalable, market-ready healthcare innovations.

Who are eligible for IITD PG Diploma in Healthcare Product Development and Management?

The programme is open to candidates holding relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degrees, as well as professionals with a minimum of two years of industry experience in allied fields. Participants will receive affiliate alumni status from IIT Delhi, fostering long-term academic association and access to continued learning resources. Key highlights include academic credits stored in the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC), an optional campus immersion experience, official transcripts issued by IIT Delhi, and the opportunity to participate in the convocation ceremony on campus.
