IIT Delhi To Host Open House

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi is set to organise an Open House event on November 9, 2024 (Saturday), inviting school and college students, as well as the general public, to explore its campus and experience a firsthand look at its groundbreaking research and innovations. The inauguration will be held at Dogra Hall in the Main Administrative Building from 9:15 to 11 am, followed by an exhibition and demonstration of research projects at the Lecture Hall Complex from 11 to 1:30 pm.

This event will provide attendees with a unique opportunity to engage with IIT Delhi’s cutting-edge facilities, interact with faculty and researchers, and gain insights into the latest advancements in science and technology. The Open House aims to inspire young minds and foster a greater understanding of the impact of research in shaping the future.

IIT Delhi Open House Schedule

The event will begin with registration from 8 to 9:00 am, followed by the inauguration at Dogra Hall. At 9:15 am, the Dean of R&D will deliver welcome remarks, leading into a lamp-lighting ceremony and Saraswati Vandana. The Director of IIT Delhi will give opening remarks at 9:25 am, with an introduction to the Open House by the Chairperson at 9:30 am.

The speaker sessions will start at 9:35 am. At 10:45 am, Prof. Mohammad Ali Haider will present on IIT Delhi AD, followed by the National Anthem at 10:55 am. From 11 am to 1:30 pm, there will be exhibit visits and demonstrations at the Lecture Hall Complex and Blocks, alongside activities such as "3 Minutes Talk" in LH 111 and LH 114, "Artificial Intelligence at IIT Delhi" in LH 121, and "Mind-Bending Math Tricks: Solve, Play and Win" in LH 108 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.

Lunch is scheduled from 1:30 to 2:30 pm. The closing ceremony, including the announcement of the IIT Delhi Alumni Association Awards, will take place at Dogra Hall from 3:30 to 4:30 pm, with a vote of thanks by AD (R&D) concluding the event at 4:30 pm.

Over 200 Research Projects To Be Revealed with Interactive Demos and Posters

On this occasion, over 200 research projects will be showcased, offering visitors an immersive experience through live demonstrations, detailed presentations, and informative poster displays. These exhibits will highlight the diverse and impactful research conducted at IIT Delhi, covering a wide range of fields and innovations. Attendees will have the chance to witness the practical applications of groundbreaking ideas, engage with researchers, and deepen their understanding of the scientific and technological advancements driving progress in various industries.
