The Office of Accessible Education at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi hosted NISHAAN 2025, a cultural event that celebrated the creativity, diversity, and talent of students with disabilities. This inclusive platform allowed students to showcase their abilities through a range of cultural activities such as music, dance, drama, painting, photography, and performances in poetry and essays. For the first time, NISHAAN invited participation from students with disabilities across colleges in Delhi, further strengthening its commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion.
A highlight of NISHAAN was the performance by the βWe Are One Dance Group,β made up of artists with locomotor and hearing disabilities. Through their powerful dance, they conveyed a profound message of diversity and inclusion, leaving a lasting impression on everyone. The dance and music segments showcased captivating performances from participants across colleges, with both dynamic and graceful displays.
The wordsmith category featured engaging poems that resonated with the audience. Additionally, the event celebrated artistic excellence through works in photography and painting/drawing.
