OUAT 2026: Applications Started, Eligibility, Pattern, Syllabus and Other Details

The Odisha University will release the OUAT hall tickets online at ouat.ac.in under the candidate's login. As per the notice, the admit card will be out on June 24. It will notify the exam centre and the reporting time for the exam. The process to download the OUAT Entrance Exam 2026 hall ticket is explained below.

The OUAT Entrance Exam 2026 admit card will have the following information.

The admit card is a compulsory document for the exam. Without this, candidates will not be allowed entry.

The OUAT Entrance Exam 2026 centres will be located in multiple locations of Odisha and one centre will be located in New Delhi. The list of exam cities for OUAT Entrance Exam is given below.

While applying for the OUAT 2026 Entrance Exam Application Form-A, candidates have to select any three cities or district in order of their preference. OUAT will try to allot the city of examination in order of preference as opted in Form-A. The allotted centre will be mentioned on the admit card. Once the admit card is issued, there will not be any possibility to change the centre. 

The Odisha University will release the provisional OUAT Answer Key 2026 by July 7. The candidates will be asked to send objections against the incorrect questions/answers given in the provisional answer key. The University will consider the objections and prepare the final answer key. 

The process to download the OUAT Entrance Exam 2026 Answer Key is given below.

The OUAT Entrance Exam 2026 Result will be released in the fourth week of July. The result will be declared in the form of rank card. The OUAT Entrance Exam result can be accessed only in online mode. The process is given below.

• Click on the Provisional Weightage and Rank for Admission into OUAT Courses link
• Login with the registration credentials
• Click on the Submit button.
• View OUAT UG result for admissions 2026
• Download and save the weightage and rank for OUAT admission 2026.

The OUAT Entrance Exam 2026 Counselling process will be conducted for the qualifying candidates. The OUAT Counselling process is a mix of online and offline steps. There will be approximately four rounds, which will be conducted tentatively between August and November 2026. Candidates have to follow the below process to participate in the OUAT 2026 Counselling or admission process.

• Register online on OUAT official website
• Fill in the programme choice
• Pay the OUAT counselling fee
• Lock OUAT seat choices
• Check the Seat Allotment Result
• Visit the Nodal Centre for document verification and admission fee payment
• Final allotment of OUAT seats & auto upgradation
• Reporting for admission at the allotted institute

In case a candidate is not satisfied with the seats allotted in the initial rounds, can opt for upgradation and participate in the next rounds of OUAT Counselling Process, until he or she gets admission to the institute or course of his or her choice.

The fee amount mentioned is of last year. In case the amount is changed, it will be updated.

The exam conducting authority provided the OUAT Entrance Exam 2026 Eligibility Criteria along with the release of the information bulletin or prospectus. The eligibility criteria were the same as last year. The basic criterion to be eligible for the OUAT 2026 Entrance Exam is that students should have passed Class 12 Board exam or equivalent in the Science stream. The aggregate percentage varies according to the candidate category.

The course-wise eligibility criteria or the subject combination which students should have studied in Class 11 and 12 are given in the table below.

For Agro-Polytechnic students, the minimum aggregate should be 45 per cent for UR category and 40 per cent for the Reserved category candidates. 

Additional OUAT entrance exam BSc eligibility criteria are mentioned below.

1. Cleared HSC or equivalent examination with Odia as Modern Indian Language (MIL).
2. Candidates who do not have Odia as MIL but their parents are permanent residents of Odisha need to furnish evidence of permanent residency in the form of a certificate from the Revenue Officer concerned, not below the rank of Tahasildar/District Magistrate/their employer concerned.
3. Candidates who do not have Odia as MIL and their parents are also not permanent residents of Odisha, but are serving under the Govt. of Odisha/Central Govt. /Public Undertaking or any University in the State of Odisha. Such aspirants must furnish a certificate that assures the same from the Head of the Office/Institution where their parent(s) is/are working.
4. Odia students permanently residing outside Odisha must furnish a certificate confirming their Odisha origin, either from their Employer/Tahasildar/District Magistrate (of the District in which they are residing). The certificate can also be submitted from the Tahasildar/ District Magistrate of their native place Odisha.

The above criteria (that is point 2 and 4) do not apply to ICAR/VCI nominees/Foreign Candidates/State Govt. sponsored candidates/children of employees of OUAT.

Age Limit: The age of the applicants should not be less than 17 years as on the last day of the year.

OUAT Entrance Exam 2026 Eligibility Criteria for BSc (Hons) Forestry

Applicants for this course have to fulfil the following physical parameters for this course.

OUAT Entrance Exam 2026 Eligibility Criteria for PG and PhD Courses

The OUAT Entrance Exam 2026 Eligibility Criteria for the postgraduate or doctorate level programmes.

• Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree at a relevant programme such as BSc, BVSc, etc. 
• Minimum Marks in aggregate should be 55 per cent for General and OBC category candidates and 50 per cent for SC, ST and PwD category candidates.

The OUAT Entrance Exam 2026 applications were closed on May 21. The OUAT Entrance Exam Application Form was divided into two parts, Form A and Form B.  

How to Fill OUAT 2026 Entrance Exam Form A

Candidates were to fill the OUAT Entrance Exam 2026 Form A in the following manner. 

• Go to https://ouat-lokaseba-odisha.in./#/login
• Click on the link indicating OUAT Entrance Exam Application Form A
• Pay the application fee of INR 2,000 through Credit Card, Debit Card, Internet Banking or UPI
• Download the e-receipt of the form and preserve it till the admission process is completed. 

How to Fill the OUAT 2026 Entrance Exam Form B

The OUAT 2026 Entrance Exam Form B was released on May 15 and the last date to submit it was May 31. Fill the form b in the following manner:

• Go to the OUAT Entrance Exam portal.
• Log in using your registered email ID and mobile number.
• In the Activity section, click on Form B.
• Enter your OUAT Entrance Exam Application Number.
• Some details will already be filled in from Form A.
• Enter the total marks and the marks you got in Class 10 for all subjects and Class 12 Science stream for all subjects. .
• This includes extra or optional subjects, if any.
• If you did not study Biology, Mathematics, or Biotechnology in Class 11 and 12, enter 0 in the secured marks box.
• Select your Education Board from the dropdown list.
• If you are from the Other Board or equivalent (not CHSE, CBSE, or ICSE) and your marks were given separately for the 1st and 2nd year.
• Add the theory and practical marks of both years together and fill in the form.

There is no separate application fee required for the OUAT Entrance Exam Application Form B.
