DU BA Eligibility & Highlights 2026
BA at Delhi University is offered in over 180 combinations. The UG-level course is available in different specialiations, including Political Science, Psychology, Journalism, French, etc. Delhi University BA Science course admissions is done based on performance in the CUET exam. There are BA (H) courses available at the university as well. The students wanting to take admission should select desired DU college and course combination during CUET form filling. For eligibility, the student must be a Class 12 or equivalent exam pass from a recognised board.

DU registrations via CUET 2023 for UG programmes began on Feb 10, 2023 and were open till Mar 30, 2023. Candidates wishing to get admission in UG and PG courses at Delhi University have to qualify CUET exam. Applicants need to register and counsel through the university's Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal.

- For the General category, the candidate needs to secure a minimum of 50% in Class 12; for SC/ST, candidates must have secured a minimum of 45% in Class 12 to be eligible for the CUET exam. For BTch programmes, the minimum aggregate for the General category candidates is 45%, and that of the reserved category candidates is 40%.
Morever, candidates who wish to apply for Delhi University must have a valid score in CUET. Undergraduate courses including BCom, BTech, BA, BSc and more are offered by the affiliated colleges.
DU is considered one of the most competitive universities in India for Commerce, Science and Arts education at the undergraduate level. The university and its affiliated colleges was attracting the cream layer of crowd till the time admission was subject to Class 12 scores. While reserved category candidates still had minor chances of getting into a not-so-popular course of DU with 60% in Class 12, a General category student with 60% had no chance of getting into any good college or course at DU.
However, starting 2022, DU admission process has shifted to CUET-UG based admission process. Those with a valid score in CUET UG exam who have passed their Class 12 are eligible to take admission now. Before the CUET counselling process for DU will even begin, it is necessary that aspirants opt for DU during CUET form filling and later apply on the CSAS portal to be eligible for admission. The admission process after CUET result declaration is explained below:
Step 1: After the declaration of the CUET UG exam, register on the DU CSAS portal in multiple phases.
Step 2: Submit College + Course combination preferences in the order of priority on the CSAS dashboard.
Step 3: The University has released the dates for three DU CSAS Seat Allocation Lists for all categories.
- The "freeze" option in seat allocation for CSAS (DU) is to be selected by the students to confirm their admission choice to the allocated college and course at DU.
- If candidates are happy with the assigned college and course, they can freeze the request through their dashboard.
- Once they select this option, they will not be considered for "upgradation" of choice in further rounds of CSAS.
- Candidates must only select this option only if they are satisfied with the allocated seat and want to take admission to this course & college
- If they do not choose to upgrade or freeze your admission, their current status will be maintained.
Step 4: Once the candidate "Accept" the provisionally allocated seat, the concerned college will verify the eligibility and documents uploaded by the candidate online. The college has an option to 'Accept' or 'Reject' the admission of the student basis the verification.
Step 5: Once the DU-affiliated college accords the approval, candidates will have to pay the 'Admission Fee' to confirm their seat.
On the basis of the availability of seats due to rejections, cancellations, and withdrawals, DU may announce multiple allocation rounds. The University of Delhi will display the vacant seats on its admission website (admission.uod.ac.in) before every allocation round.
DU BA Cutoff
The university cutoff list for the UG course is prepared as per the applicant's scores in the CUET exam. Delhi University cutoff is released round-wise on its admissions portal. The cutoffs are now not released in open portals and can be checked by the students by logging into the DU CUET portal.

No, Faculty of Management Studies, DU does not accept GMAT score for its MBA programme. The selection is based on CAT score and performance of aspirants in other selection rounds.

SRCC Fees ranges between INR 87,735 to INR 3.2 lakh for the entire tuition fee depending upon the chosen course and specialisation. The total tuition fee for both BA (Hons) & BCom (Hons) is INR 87.73k. For PG Diploma courses, the fee is INR 3.2 lakh.

No, teachers in this institute are highly biased like Mr Das . he mistreats female students and prefer only buttering and Bengalis. so it's better not to destroy your career in this worthless institute if you are Hard working.
