IIT Bombay admission to MDes programme is entrance-based. Candidates have to follow the below steps to get a seat in the MDes programme:
Step 1: Candidates meeting the eligibility requirements have to pay an application fee to register for MDes course.
Step 2: IIT Bombay selects candidates for MDes programme based on CEED score. After qualifying CEED, the institute releases a category-wise merit list for each stream. Eligible candidates are required to appear for an IDC (written test) and an interview round.
Step 3: After the completion of the selection rounds, IITB releases a final merit list. Selected candidates will then have to appear for the verification of documents in order to complete the admission.

Yes, IIT Bombay provides accommodation to students. The college has a vast campus, where a total of 18 hostels are available, which includes (hostels no-1 to16, hostel no -18 and Tansa). Based on the availability of the hostel, the rooms are randomly allocated to students. All the first-year students of UG & PG courses share the same hostel. The hostel management and guidelines are regulated by the Hostel Co-ordinating Unit (HCU) of IIT Bombay.

Yes, IIT Bombay offers admission to MBA course on the basis of candidates' performance in the CAT entrance exam, followed by WAT and PI round.The institute releases two types of CAT cutoffs, namely the qualifying CAT cutoff and the final CAT cutoff. The course outline of mechanical in IIT Delhi or IIT Bombay is similar and is quite well aligned with the course structure of top ranked international universities and the mechanical is one of the most desired and demanded branches in the IITs.
