SRM Joint Entrance Examination (SRMJEEE) 2018 results were declared by SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) on May 1. The exam was held from April 16 to 30 for admissions to BTech seats offered at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Kattankulathur (Chennai), SRM Haryana, Sonepat and SRM AP, Amaravati.

This year, students from 7 different states have featured in the top 10 All India Ranks of SRMJEEE 2018. While the All India Rank (AIR) 1 has been secured by Ujjwal Singh from Uttar Pradesh, the second rank has been bagged by Naren Sairam Iyer from Tamil Nadu. The third spot has been secured by Gayathri V from Karnataka.

In the SRMJEEE 2018 Top 10 list, two students each are from Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, while the rest are from Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Gujarat. Around 1,72,825 candidates registered for the exam from across the country. Out of these, 76,000 aspirants have been invited for counseling. The test was conducted across 123 centers in India and in 5 centers across Middle East for NRI Candidates.    

Of the total applicants, in the top 10,000 ranks, 66% students are from CBSE. The top  states from where students applied are UP, Maharashtra, Delhi, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Telangana, Haryana and Tamil Nadu. Take a look at the SRMJEEE 2018 Top 10 list below.

SRM group of Institutions will begin its counseling process from May 7, 2018. Admissions to BTech programmes offered by SRM Group of Institutions will be based on the ranks secured by students in SRMJEEE 2018.

The SRMJEEE 2018 counseling process for admission to BTech programmes has been scheduled for SRM University- Haryana, SRM University- AP, Amaravati  from May 7, 2018 to May 10, 2018 at their respective campuses. SRM Institute of Science & Technology has scheduled its counseling from May 11 to May 20 at its NCR campus and Kattankulathur campus. Check the important dates of the exam here.

The University will award Founder’s Scholarships based on the rank obtained in SRMJEEE 2018 on the first day of counseling. Top 100 ranks in SRMJEEE will receive 100% waiver of tuition and hostel fees, rank 101 to 500 - 100% tuition fee waiver, rank 501 to 1000 – 75% tuition fee waiver and rank 1001 to 2000- 50% tuition fee waiver and rank 2001 to 3000- 25% tuition fee waiver.  A total of Rs. 30 Crore worth of scholarships is on offer across SRM group of institutions.

Yes, you don't have to buy specific books seperately for SRMJEEE preparations. You can refer to your 10+2 NCERT books from classes 10 to 12. However, you can purchase practice papers for solve past year question papers and strengthen your preparations.
