Overview

TS SSC Exam Pattern 2026 is prescribed by the examination authority. The board follows assessment scheme of 80:20. A total of 80 marks are allotted to theory exam and 20 for internal assessment. The first, second and third language along with English carries 80 marks and 20 are allotted for internal assessment. Two exams are conducted for Maths, Science and Social Science and carries 50 marks. A total of 40 marks are allocated to theory and 10 for internal assessment. The science subject is divided into Physical Science and Biological Science and Social Science. The paper includes Objective, short-answer, long-answer and map questions. Telangana 10th Exam Pattern 2026: Subject-Wise Weightage

TS SSC covers 6 subjects across 7 papers. Languages, Maths, and Social Studies exams are held in a single shift for three hours. Science is divided into two parts with separate timings. Part 1 is Physical Science and Part II is Biological Science. It is a 50-mark paper conducted within 1.5-hour time duration. The exam pattern is given below.

Q:   Does BSE Telangana do fair marking?

Marking done by Telangana Board is fair and lenient. After the evaluators are done with the checking, the answer sheet goes for another round of random checking by the supervisor, to ensure it's fairness. 

Thus, students must not worry about the strict/lenient checking by the evaluators and focus on completing their syllabus and ensuring that their preparataion strategy is on point so that they do not have to worry about the checking.

  • All Examination Tests are Conducted for 600 marks (100 marks for each subject) 480 marks for board exams and 120 for internals.
  • No changes are accepted in the marks pattern of composite courses and vocational courses.
  • Non-language Papers would have a maximum of 50 marks, with 40 marks allocated in the theory exam and the remaining 10 marks awarded as internal assessment.

Q:   Will TS SSC board exams be held twice a year?

Education Ministry of India has announced that Boards will conduct Board exams twice a year from the next academic session and that students will be allowed to retain the best score. However, Telangana Board is yet to release any official notification in this regard. 

The Ministry also announced that students of Class 9, 10 will be required to learn three languages, two of which will be Indian languages. Class 11 and 12 students will need to learn two languages, one of which will be Indian.

Q:   Is TS SSC 10th Board exam checking strict?
A: 

For Class 10th, it is considered to be strict. However, it is said that the checking done by evaluators is linient in comparison to the checking done by them in Class 9, 11 in their schools.

So, if u have covered the entire Telangana 10th syllabus and your preparation is on point, then you must not worry about the strict checking. 

Q:   How many students appear for TS 10th exams every year?

Over five Lacs students appear for their BSE Telangana SSC exams every year. The exams are held in February-March in pen and paper format. The Board releases the TS SSC hall ticket for the exams at least 15 days before the commencement of exams. Students need to collect their hall ticket from their school and must carry it on all exam days.

No, TS 10th board exams 2026 are held offline in pen and paper format. There is no provision of conducting the exam online.
