NIFT 2024 entrance exam consists of GAT and CAT written tests. GAT is an objective-type paper and is conducted in computer-based mode.
As per a number of students, NIFT 2023 exam was easier compared to previous years. CAT paper in particular was pretty easy but it was lengthy. The GAT paper had a few tricky questions in the Maths section, otherwise the paper was easy. The English section was also easier than the last edition. The GAT paper included a number of paragraph-based questions. Also, the exam included comic strip-based questions that were also easy.
Along with sample papers, mock tests are considered essential tools to prepare for the NIFT exam. However, considering that the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) may or may not conduct mock tests for the NIFT exam, the candidate may conduct mock tests of other exams. For instance, the candidate may take mock tests conducted by the Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID). But it may be noted that the difficulty level of the SEED exam is not on par with the NIFT exam. So, while mock tests will help the candidate get an exam-like ambiance, it is not enough. It is therefore recommended that the candidate solve as many sample papers to improve ones problem-solving and time-management skills.
NIFT is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Institute of Fashion Technology for admission to offer admission in various UG and PG design courses offered by the 18 participating colleges. Admission will be done on the basis of NIFT 2024 merit rank.
