Got 98 Percentile in JEE Main 2025; which college and branch (CSE, ME, CE, EE, ECE) you may get? After scoring good marks on an exam like JEE Main, the most common question in every student’s mind is which college I will get based on my NTA score or JEE Main percentile. As JEE Main Result 2025 has been announced, students can check here which college they'll get at 98 percentile.

Before telling students about the colleges and streams they may get based on their JEE Main score, students must not be confused about the NTA Score and JEE Main percentile. They must keep in mind that there is no difference between the NTA Score and JEE Main percentile. The JEE Main 2025 result scorecard will contain the subject-wise and aggregated NTA score/percentile obtained by a candidate in the exam. These percentile scores are called the NTA Score.

Q:   Is 75 percent marks in class 12 required for JEE Mains?
A:

Candidates need not have 75 percent marks in class 12 for appearing in JEE Main. As per the official brochure released by the NTA, there is no minimum percentage required for appearing in the JEE Main. The requirement of 75 percent marks need not be associated with appearing in the JEE Main exam.

It is to be understood that 75 percent marks is required for admission to institutes which include NITs, IIITs, GFTIs and IITs. Many institutes offer admission at 60% and even less, along with JEE Main. Candidates must clearly understand that the requirement of 75 percent marks in class 12 is only for taking admission in the institutes.

Q:   What is CRL in JEE Main Cutoff?
A:
CRL stands for the Common Rank List. NTA releases the cutoff in several categories one of which is CRL. Basically, CRL means unreserved category. Candidates belonging to unreserved category need to have JEE Main cutoff equal to or more than the CRL cutoff. The other categories for which cutoff is released are Gen-EWS, Open-PwD, OBC-NCL, SC and ST.
Q:   Which category has the lowest cutoff in JEE Mains 2023 exam?
A:

As per the JEE Main 2023 cutoff data released by the NTA, PwD category has the lowest cutoff of 0.0013527. The highest cutoff is for general category which is 90.7788642. The PwD candidates scoring above 0.0013527 NTA score are eligible to appear in JEE Advanced for admission to IITs. The PwD cutoff has been lowered in 2023 to 0.0013527 which was 0.0031029 in the year 2022.

Which College and Brach will I get in 98 Percentile

Candidates who score 98 percentile in JEE Main 2025 may get Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT) Allahabad. The prediction is based on the JEE Main results of last year. In 2023, candidates with 99 percentile got ranks between 20,150 to 22,200. By analysing last year's counselling results, it can be said that such candidates are likely to get Production and Industrial Engineering in the aforesaid institute. Q:   What are the types of JEE Main cutoff?
A:
JEE Main cutoff is of two types, one is qualifying cutoff for JEE Advanced and the other is admission cutoff for the institutes. JEE Main qualifying cutoff is released by the NTA along with the result and is in the form of percentile scores. NTA releases JEE Main cutoff for a total of six categories which include unreserved (CRL), Gen-EWS, Open-PwD, OBC-NCL, SC and ST. JEE Main admission cutoff is released by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority JoSAA and is in the form of All India Rank.
Q:   Can I take admission in any institute if I do not get JEE Main cutoff marks?
A:

Candidates who do not score above JEE Main cutoff marks are eligible to take admissions in NITs, IIITs and GFTIs but not IITs. To appear in the admission process for IITs, candidates need to get marks above than the JEE Main cutoff and appear in JEE Advanced exam.

Q:   What is the cutoff for BTech at NIT Andhra Pradesh for OBC category?
A:

NIT Andhra Pradesh BTech admission is based on candidates' performance in the JEE Main entrance exam, followed by the JoSAA counselling process. The Round 1 of JEE Main cutoff 2025 has been released for different categories of students belonging to the AI and HS quotas. For students belonging to the OBC category, the JEE Main closing ranks ranged between 5741 and 14452. For branch-wise Round 1 cutoff details, check out the table below:
