WBJEE is conducted annually to select candidates for admission into the BTech courses offered by the participating institutes of the state. The WBJEE exam is divided into two papers – Paper 1 (Mathematics) and Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry). Candidates will have to attempt both papers to be eligible for a General Merit Rank (GMR).

Commonly asked questions
Students will have choice to attempt WBJEE question paper in English or Bengali. Each question will be available in both English and Bengali. Students can choose the one they are comfortable to use. No other language is used for WBJEE.
Authorities will release WBJEE question paper online. Students can download official question paper to know type of questions that are likely to be present in examination. Previous years' question papers can also be checked to help with preparation process.
WBJEE question paper will have three categories. Category 1 and 2 questions will have only one correct option. Category 3 questions may have one or more correct options.
WBJEE is held as an offline test. Mathematics will have 75 questions and Physics and Chemistry will have 80 questions each. Total number of questions in WBJEE is 155.

Adamas University WBJEE 2026 Round 3 cutoff is out for BTech. For the General AI category, the Round 3 cutoff ranges from 58967 for BTech in Mechanical Engineering to 92641 for BTech in Biotechnology. BTech in Mechanical Engineering is the most competitive branch for admission.

Only appearing for WBJEE is not enough for B.Arch. As per Council of Architecture (CoA) rules, you must also have a valid score in NATA or JEE Main Paper 2 (Architecture) alongside your academic and state entrance qualifications.

Yes, but only in private colleges through management quota, based on Class 12 marks, without needing WBJEE. Colleges like IEM, Heritage, Techno India, and Adamas offer this option.
Always check that the college is AICTE-approved before taking direct admission, as unapproved seats can create problems
