Self evaluation should be a continuous process throughout the preparations. Always try to score well throughout your preparation and if you feel the result is not the way you want, analyse and change your pattern.
BITSAT has the same syllabus as that of JEE Mains which could be downloaded from JEE website. The major difference between both is JEE Mains is a practical application test while BITSAT is a knowledge test. Hence, it is important to study in a way which covers more syllabus and theory part. This article will help you know some important facts about BITSAT and help you discover the best tricks to enhance selection chances.

To start with, the most important is the study material. I will suggest you to read and solve NCERT books, 'Parikshabodh' books and your Examination board (State board or ICSE) books other than NCERT. This will be enough from the syllabus point of view. Starting with the fundamentals, 'Book of Pradeep Publications' is a must to build fundamentals. For advance knowledge, I would suggest Cengage Publication's books. As the paper could contain any part of the syllabus, I suggest you to solve previous years’ questions as well. For Physics and Maths, you need to improve your calculation speed. Try to solve questions with a stopwatch and do solve more questions in one go without seeing the answer sheet and solutions.
The focus point of BITSAT is the English proficiency paper. This paper includes basic grammar and aptitude questions hence leaving them in the paper is a big loss. Try to do the English part first as it does not have calculations and you can simply guess the answer in one go.
Till the time you'll reach the BITSAT exam, you have a whole two-year syllabus to deal with. Hence to revise it wisely, I would suggest to start revising one week before (as it is more subjective than practical). Mark or note the important figures, numbers and facts that you think are important. Learn the whole syllabus like a movie or a magazine (especially for Chemistry). For Maths, again it's all about calculations. For English, revise it from class 9th and 10th CBSE textbooks. No need to waste much time for aptitude one or two days are more than enough.
Self evaluation should be a continuous process throughout the preparations. Always try to score well throughout your preparation and if you feel the result is not the way you want, analyse and change your pattern. Ask a mentor of your coaching, school or find someone who has given the same exam. He or she will guide you well. The main objective of this exam is to know whether you know well about your syllabus. Hence, solving fast and through basic sense, you can achieve heights.
