West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam (WBJEE Main) is a state-wide examination conducted by the West Bengal Board. The exam is a gateway for students who are planning to take admission in undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered in engineering & technology, architecture and pharmacy streams at universities, government colleges and self-financed engineering and technology colleges in the state.
Here I will share some last-minute tips and other important areas you must focus on for your upcoming WBJEE exam:
WBJEE Main Last-Week Tips
The last week to WBJEE is the best time to start revision. Also, attempting mock tests of previous papers is another important key to achieving victory. Make sure you take the mock tests and have an analysis regarding your attempt. Revision is important before one week of examination because it leads to improvement in the conceptual points, quick problem solving, analytical thinking while examination, etc. It definitely improves your score drastically.
Explore colleges based on WBJEE
You have to keep in mind that revision plays a crucial role. So try to revise formulae and be thorough with the concepts. Keep your concentration on previous papers, sample papers because you may have more chances to get those types of questions or models. However, you should have a proper schedule for preparation and for revision. A study plan may help you to cover each and every part of the syllabus.
You should also ensure that you have a sound sleep and take a healthy diet. Avoid social media but not technology.
WBJEE Time Management Tips
Managing time especially during the examination is an art. Time management is important for preparation, revision, mock tests and also when appearing for the examination. During the examination, first, solve questions that can be answered in a shorter span of time and mostly try to answer direct questions. Don’t spend much time on one question.
WBJEE Scoring Topics
If you don’t have a proper strategy based on the syllabus, it is better to study and revise each and every topic. Note down every important formula from all chapters and learn chapter-wise concepts. Moreover, don’t ignore Maths because it has the highest weightage. Refer NCERT books for a better score and for the basic foundation. Group discussion also helps you a lot. Try to remember each and every chapter with the help of graphs, tabular column and diagrams. Making notes is mostly suggested by the many experts and exam toppers. Making notes will help you while revision.
Balancing between Class 12th & WBJEE
Most of the candidates find it difficult to manage both Class 12th and WBJEE Main preparation. Actually it is not that difficult if you manage them in a proper way. Note down similar chapters of both Class 12th & WBJEE and start preparation with those topics. Learn these topics with conceptual understanding.
NCERT textbooks may help you to manage both at a time. If you are good with conceptual understanding, this will help you in objective and descriptive. Referring running notes may also help you to manage both the examinations. Giving mock tests will definitely help you to score better. Solve Maths problems as many as you can. Because if you practice solving with less time, you may have the scope to respond to more questions. Here Maths plays an important role because in objective and subjective probably it is the same so train your mind to solve as possible as you can with less span of time.
