WBJEE 2026: West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has released the official WBJEE answer key 2026 at wbjeeb.nic.in/wbjee. Correct responses to the WBJEE question paper are available in the provisional answer key. Using model WBJEE 2026 answer key, candidates can calculate their scores secured in exam. WBJEE 2026 exam was held on May 24 as a pen and paper based test. WBJEEB is also expected to announce WBJEE 2026 result date soon.
West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) is the responsible authority that conducts WBJEE exam as an annual examination. Through WBJEE, candidates are selected for admissions into BTech courses offered by participating Government and Self-financing institutes of the state. While majority of admissions for the current year will be done through WBJEE scores, 10% of the approved seats in Self-financing institutes are open for candidates with a valid JEE Main score.

What is WBJEE?
West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination, also known as WBJEE is conducted as a state level exam by WBJEEB authorities. WBJEE is held annually to select candidates for admission into undergraduate courses offered at state universities, government colleges and self-financing engineering & technical institutions. For admission, candidates have to qualify entrance examination. JEE Main qualified candidates who meet basic eligibility can apply for admission through WBJEE counselling.
How is WBJEE exam conducted?
WBJEE is conducted as an offline test. During exam, candidates have to answer questions in OMR sheet provided by authorities. Candidates have to attempt all 155 questions from Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Overall, questions will be from 11th and 12th standard syllabus. To be eligible for admission, candidates have to qualify WBJEE with valid scores.
WBJEE Paper Timings
WBJEE is held as two papers - Paper 1 (Mathematics) and Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry). Both papers will be held in one day and candidates will have to attempt both to qualify for BTech admission. Candidates can check paper timings for WBJEE exam below.

According to previous year's WBJEE exam analysis, the paper was overall moderate to tough. Out of all sections, Mathematics was the toughest, while Physics was easy to moderate. WBJEE answer key 2026 has been released online at wbjeeb.nic.in/wbjee. Candidates can now check correct answers to the question paper through the model WBJEE answer key. Login credentials required to download model answer key of WBJEE 2026 are application number and password. Objections against WBJEE model answe key will be accepted online. While submitting objections, candidates will also have to provide supporting proof and pay required fee. For every objection, INR 500 has to be paid.
After all objections are checked, final WBJEE 2026 answer key will be prepared. The authorities will not accept objections against final answer key. WBJEE result will be prepared based on final key. Candidates can use their scores to predict their list of colleges through WBJEE college predictor 2026.

WBJEE 2026 Result/Rank Card

WBJEE 2026 result will be released online. Candidates will have to log in with application number and password to check result. Through result, candidates can check their marks and ranks secured in examination. Result can be downloaded as a WBJEE 2026 rank card. A printout of rank card should be taken for admission. Authorities will accept objections against result within 24 hours of announcement. Candidates can also report physically to WBJEEB office to submit their objections. After 24 hours, candidates will not be able to submit any objections.

WBJEE final answer key will be prepared after objections against the provisional key are checked. To prepare result, final WBJEE answer key will be used. The authorities will not accept any objections against final key.
WBJEE 2026 seat allotment dates have not been announced yet. Students will have to log in to check their allotment status and to download the allocation letter for the admission process. Separate allotment results will be announced for the different rounds of counselling.
WBJEE cutoff consists of opening and closing ranks that are required for admission. Cutoff varies as per course, college and category selected by students for admission. Round wise cutoff is released online during WBJEE seat allotment.
The WBJEE seat acceptance fee is INR 5000 (refundable). To download the seat allotment letter, the students will have to pay the fee online, i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. If the fee is not paid, then they students will not be able to move forward with the admission confirmation process.
At WBJEE exam centre, students will have to bring a print out of their admit card and one original valid identity proof. If students do not have these documents with them at centre, then they will not be allowed to enter and attempt examination.
WBJEE syllabus should be studied entirely to have a good chance of scoring high marks. Since question paper will be prepared using syllabus, they can expect any topic or concept to be used for questions.
Students with valid JEE Main scores can apply for admissions through WBJEE counselling. However, these students will be eligible for allotment only in 10% approved seats offered by self financing colleges and institutes participating in state level counselling.
WBJEEB will announce WBJEE 2026 toppers. Highest scoring students will be given top ranks in WBJEE 2026. In previous year, Aniruddha Chakrabarti secured first rank in WBJEE, followed by Samyajyoti Biswas and Dishaanth Basu in second and third rank. List of the top 10 rankers in WBJEE 2026 will be released by authorities.
After the seats are allotted, students will have to pay seat acceptance fee of INR 5000 online to download allotment letter. Next, they will have to report to their respective college for document verification and tuition fee payment.
WBJEE result will not be sent through post or email. Students will have to log in with their roll number and password to check and download WBJEE result. They can download result in form of a rank card.
WBJEE mock tests and sample papers are important to help students work on their time management. Solving mock tests and sample papers will help them know how to divide their time for each section so that they complete the exam on time. Students should include mock tests in their daily exam preparation plan.

For WBJEE admissions, there is an age limit. Students have to be minimum 17 years old during the admission year. There is no upper age limit. However, for Marine Engineering course, there is an upper age limit of 25 years.
