WBJEE TFW Scheme: West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) offers WBJEE TFW (Tuition Fee Waiver) scheme to eligible candidates. WBJEE TFW scheme is a state government initiative designed to help meritorious students from economically weaker sections to pursue BTech courses offered by participating institutes OF West Bengal. Through WBJEE TFW scheme, eligible candidates will be able to get their full tuition waived for all four academic years.
During WBJEE counselling, candidates will have to submit their TFW certificate. If the required documents are not submitted, then they will not be considered eligible for the tuition fee waiver. Both WBJEE and JEE Main qualified candidates will be eligible for WBJEE TFW Scheme.

WBJEE TFW Scheme: What are the Key Highlights?
Candidates can check the key highlights of WBJEE TFW scheme below.
- If candidates are offered a seat under TFW quota, their tuition fee will be waived for the duration of the course.
- Up to 5% of the total seats in each course across participating colleges are reserved under TFW category. It is to be noted that these will be supernumerary (extra) seats.
- Candidates will still be responsible for paying other University/College fees, such as hostel fees, mess charges, development fees, laboratory fees, and examination fees.

The WBJEE seat acceptance fee is INR 5000 (refundable). To download the seat allotment letter, the students will have to pay the fee online, i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. If the fee is not paid, then they students will not be able to move forward with the admission confirmation process.
WBJEE 2026 seat allotment for Round 1 has been released. Students will have to log in to check their allotment status and to download the allocation letter for the admission process.
WBJEE 2026 counselling has commenced. The qualified candidates will have to participate in the three rounds of counselling to be eligible for admissions. WBJEE 2026 counselling registration is open online. Seat allotment result will be declared for all participating candidates.
WBJEEB conducts the WBJEE counselling process online. All qualified candidates have to register for the counselling and fill out their choice of colleges and courses. The counselling fee also has to be paid online, i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. No offline counselling will be held.
What is the WBJEE TFW Scheme Eligibility Criteria?
To be eligible for WBJEE TFW quota, candidates will have to meet the following criteria.

How to Apply for WBJEE TFW Scheme?
Candidates can apply for WBJEE Tuition Fee Scheme (TFW) during two stages.
During WBJEE Registration: While filling out online WBJEE application form, candidates will have to choose ‘Yes’ for the TFW scheme. If the TFW scheme is not chosen during registration process, it cannot be opted for during counselling. Candidates will be able to make changes in their WBJEE TFW scheme through application correction facility.
During WBJEE Counselling Registration: Candidates will have to choose TFW seats during WBJEE counselling choice filling process (e.g. CSE TFW). They will have to select TFW branches to be considered for admission.
Commonly asked questions
During second round of WBJEE counselling, candidates can go back to their previous allotment, if they are not allotted in their higher preference. If they are allotted higher preference, then their previous seat will be automatically cancelled.
During WBJEE counselling, the students who want to withdraw their admission have to complete it before the last date. If the withdrawal is not done on time, then they will not be able to get refund of the seat acceptance fee.
After the seats are allotted, students will have to pay seat acceptance fee of INR 5000 online to download allotment letter. Next, they will have to report to their respective college for document verification and tuition fee payment.
Jadavpur University accepts WBJEE scores for admissions into the BTech courses. However, the 12th standard qualifying exam eligibility criteria is minimum 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (45% for reserved category). The students should also have minimum 60% in Mathematics and a pass mark in English.

Candidates will have to submit following documents for verification to secure a seat during WBJEE TFW scheme.

- WBJEE rank card
- Domicile Certificate
- Income Certificate: Should be in exact format as prescribed by the WBJEEB and must be signed by a competent authority such as District Magistrate/Additional District Magistrate, Deputy Commissioner/Sub-Divisional Officer or Block Development Officer (BDO). Certificates signed by by Group B officers, school principals, or local corporators/panchayat pradhans are generally not accepted.

Yes, WBJEE is required for Haldia Institute of Pharmacy admissions. Especially for BPharma programme. The institute may consider scores of NEET or other exams in some cases. Students can check the same with the institute.
