WBJEE 2026 Seat Matrix: West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board has released the WBJEE seat matrix 2026 for all participating institutes. Candidates can now check the institute and course-wise total number of seats offered through WBJEE 2026 admission process. For WBJEE 2026, the authorities are offering a total of 45188 BTech/BArch seats. However, an additional 3487 seats in self-financing institutes are reserved for admissions through JEE Main scores. A centralised WBJEE 2026 counselling is held to select candidates to fill up the WBJEE 2026 seat matrix.

WBJEE 2026 counselling has commenced. The qualified candidates will have to participate in the three rounds of counselling to be eligible for admissions. WBJEE 2026 counselling registration is open online. Seat allotment result will be declared for all participating candidates.
WBJEE seat allotment result is declared online. To check allotment result, students have to select their type of registration and log in using their roll number and password. Students will not be informed about their allotment in any other mode.
The WBJEE seat acceptance fee is INR 5000 (refundable). To download the seat allotment letter, the students will have to pay the fee online, i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. If the fee is not paid, then they students will not be able to move forward with the admission confirmation process.
During WBJEE counselling, the students who want to withdraw their admission have to complete it before the last date. If the withdrawal is not done on time, then they will not be able to get refund of the seat acceptance fee.

Candidates can follow steps given below to check the official WBJEE 2026 seat matrix.
- Go to wbjeeb.nic.in/wbjee
- Click on ‘WBJEE 2026 Seat Matrix’
- Candidates will be redirected to the seat matrix page.
- Select your preferred parameter. Candidates can choose to check seats from private, state government and state university institutes. WBJEE 2026 seats can also be filtered according to WBJEE or JEE Main.
- After clicking on ‘Submit’ the institute-wise, category-wise and total number of seats can be checked.
Is it Important to Know WBJEE 2026 Seat Matrix?
Before counselling, candidates are advised to check the official seat matrix of WBJEE 2026. Since institute-wise and category-wise seat numbers can be checked through the official matrix, candidates will be able to make decisions regarding their counselling and seat allotment process. With knowledge of the number of available seats, they will be able to have more understanding of how to fill their choices for allotment so that they have higher chances of securing their preferred course or college.
WBJEE 2026 Counselling
WBJEEB has started WBJEE counselling 2026 as an online process. Qualified candidates have to register and pay the required fee online, i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. During counselling, they will also have to choose their preferred course and colleges in order of preference. Candidates are advised to choose as many options as they can to have higher chances of allotment into their preference. Three rounds of counselling are being held. For every round, fresh registration and choice filling will be accepted.
WBJEE 2026 seat allotment is done based on candidates’ rank, preferences and seat availability. After allotment, they will have to pay the seat acceptance fee to confirm their admission. Once the required fee is paid, they will have to report to their institute for confirmation of admission. If the admission is not confirmed before the final date, their allotment will be cancelled.

The second round of WBJEE counselling is held to upgrade the registered candidates or freshly allot the ones who were not allotted in the first round. Fresh registrations will be accepted for Round 2.
Students with valid JEE Main scores can apply for admissions through WBJEE counselling. However, these students will be eligible for allotment only in 10% approved seats offered by self financing colleges and institutes participating in state level counselling.
WBJEEB conducts the WBJEE counselling process online. All qualified candidates have to register for the counselling and fill out their choice of colleges and courses. The counselling fee also has to be paid online, i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. No offline counselling will be held.
