How to Use the CLAT PYQ for Preparation?

Just by having the right study material or question papers won't help. You need to have the right CLAT Preparation Strategy to solve PYQs too.

  • Allot a dedicated time to solve PYQs

Candidates must allocate a window where they will just solve the question paper. Set a timer for two hours and solve the question paper without any disturbance. With a timer, you will get habitual of solving the question paper within the dedicated time. Do not check the answer key until your time is over.

  • Check the Solutions

Once you have completed the exam, just don't jump on checking the score. Check why certain questions were marked incorrect and what your weak points are.

  • Identify Revised Exam Pattern

If you check a previous year CLAT question paper from 2018 with one from 2025, you will see a major shift in the one line questions to deep analytical passages. Do focus more on questions asked from 2020 onwards.

CLAT does not give a fixed number for grammar. The exam is fully passage-based. Grammar is tested inside English Language, which carries around 20% weightage.
